Eminem overtaking Roddy when the latter has been higher on Spotify since Friday. Don’t mind who gets #1 as long as it ain’t Eminem

Eminem hasn't "overtaken" Roddy, he was ahead anyway...

Roddy should overtake him by Friday then

Lewis will probably keep pushing for iTunes sales through the week (and maybe release more physicals), I don't think he'll allow the #1 to slip away from him this week. Most likely will drop back behind The Weeknd, Eminem and Roddy next week.

J Hus looking like he has a very good chance to get the #1 album this week, would definitely be solidifying his place as one of the 3 biggest names in the current generation of UK rap (along with Dave and Stormzy). A little surprised that he could be getting a #1 album before a #1 single (even as a feature) but still think he has a good chance of getting a #1 single eventually as well. Good numbers for Pet Shop Boys though and wouldn't mind if they held on, it's kind of mad that an act with such a long chart history still only has one #1 album! (Similar to Snow Patrol and The Who).

Eminem and Roddy still selling nearly exactly the same number each day a week on! Interestingly I notice that 'Godzilla' didn't appear in last week's video streaming chart, it seems the auto-generated video for it either isn't counting at all (in which case he should have been #1 much more comfortably) or is perhaps being counted as audio streams instead of video streams (I think the auto-generated videos tie in with the YouTube Music service which is maybe considered an audio streaming thing? idk).

oh that's further ahead than I expected for Lewis and The Weeknd, looks like Eminem and Roddy are out of the race now then. Hopefully The Weeknd can catch up but I get the feeling Lewis will with all the campaigning he's doing.

Becky top 40 though!! Didn't expect that to happen so early, suspect she'll just miss out this week but looks promising for the future. Great to see Saint Jhn/Imanbek just outside at #44 at this stage too.

Would love for The Weeknd to get Number 1 this week. First time in a while we've had a decent track there! Also really hope Becky can stay Top 40!
I don't think The Weeknd will catch up to Lewis this week, but he'll almost certainly get there next week

Yes, I would bet my money on Lewis Capaldi this week. :cheer:

Happy to see 'SUGAR' as high as #64 in this update, it was a little disappointing that it dropped 2 places last week but it should definitely resume climbing this week as it's always ended up higher than its midweek position so far, and this midweek position is above its current peak of #66. x Doja Cat up to #50 as well, outside chance she could scrape into the top 40 this week?

'Rabbit Hole' popping up in the Monday top 100 a third time, will it finally actually stay there this time?

Despite the position drop its sales actually increased last week anyway.

This is exactly what I was thinking as well. Now that his team know he's in with a shot I can see them trying their hardest to get to the #1 whilst The Weeknd will probably not care much at all

8 Dave Clark Five - All the Hits

Surprised to see this so high (although it is TV advertised).

DC5 had 3 previous Greatest Hits albums to chart.

1978 - 25 THUMPING GREAT HITS - no. 7

1993 - GLAD ALL OVER AGAIN - no. 28

2008 - THE HITS - no. 15

Apparently released to coincide with the 60th Anniversary of their formation in 1960.

The front sleeve says "The DC5 sold over 100 million records". How true is that statement?

One track missing from the 28 tracks is The Red Balloon.

I prefer the 1993 collection with both Rock 'n' roll melodies and The Red Balloon.

Was about to say I was impressed with Halsey remaining as high as #18 but then I looked at our detailed list and noticed it's basically because sales are just so low - she decreased 75% week on week. Bombay Bicycle Club at #23 have decreased 90% and Courteeners at #34 have decreased 96%!
Brilliant to see the PSB at No. 1 although I'm pretty sure they won't be there come Friday :( they're so long overdue a second No. 1 album.

I fear its just another midweek number 1 for them but they deserve to have more than 1 Number 1 album in their discography.

In normal circumstances, The Weekend should catch up cos he's been most days 150K ahead of Lewis on Spotify, sure that would be enough when the missing Spotify dates added... but that said sure he knows it and will campaign like crazy
The Weeknd wasn't even catching up on this update, according to Joseph's post Lewis has pulled ahead by 100 copies with Sunday's figures added.

these are the 1st week sales from the last 4 PSB albums, since the big drop experienced in the early 2010s coinciding with the lack of hit singles,

they've mantained or even increased 1st week sales, and the last 2 albums seem quite stable over 15k, which looks like what the new album will do too

Yes debuted at number four with first-week sales of 27,639 copies (2009)

Elysium debuted at number nine selling 10,418 copies (2012)

Electric did 15,715 copies (2013)

Super debuted at number three selling 16,953 copies (2016)

Lewis is so determined to be number 1 this week that he could promise to send nudes to his fans if he is number 1 this Friday. -_-
sadly I think the PSB have no chance to hold at #1, looking at the Sunday sales a couple pages back J Hus should do well over 20K, which PSB sure cannot reach :/
