From Music Week -

The Official Charts Midweek Sales Flash is in, and Kylie Minogue and Little Mix are locked in a fierce battle for the albums No.1 spot.

Minogue's Disco currently holds the upper hand, selling 36,798 copies to the 34,578 moved by Little Mix's Confetti.

Disco leads on both physical sales (31,004 to 27,816) and downloads (4,644 to 3,058), but Confetti has the edge in album equivalent streams (3,704 to 1,150).

Am sure iTunes will be dropped for a little bit maybe £6.99?

We shouldn't be sad if Disco won't reach the top. Kylie's only no 1 album in November was her debut. She never had a no 1 in December, so no 2 would still be great!

It won't be sad Monzo but BMG and Townsend had no Deluxe left on her website on release day and now have a pre order CD for 4th Dec. Seems a bit strange to me ....... That's either coy marketing go longevity of sales or very bad planning, especially when it has stopped bundles from being sent etc.

It’s been £6.99 for the standard and £8.99 for the deluxe since they first went up for pre-order

Surely can pick up a few more Disco sales and if video snippets of Magic and Say Something played then a few casual buys for them

The sales are very impressive but there is not enough of a lead to secure Number 1.
Yep there is no clear winner yet, so close and I think the Thursday mids are going to be nail-biting. However the signed CDs ship tomorrow which may see Kylie pull more out in front! I'm hoping so anyway. Either way these sales are incredible especially during a national lockdown and a low sales climate which makes it even more tantalising knowing almost any other week of the year it would have been an easy #1 and we wouldn't be worrying at all. It is all quite exciting however I must admit.
It is exciting but equally annoying that, with not a single more sale for the week, Disco would easily be Number 1 on many weeks of the year.

From Official Charts:

Kylie Minogue has discussed the prospect of setting a new Official Chart record with her latest album Disco.

The superstar is in the running for Number 1 on this week's Official Albums Chart, currently locked in a very close battle with Little Mix's Confetti.

If Kylie wins the race, she will be the first female artist to score a UK Number 1 album in five consecutive decades - in the 80s, 90s, 00s, 2010s and 2020s.

"To be on the precipice of potentially being the first solo woman to do it would be phenomenal," Kylie told News Corp.

Discussing the potential feat in an interview with Guardian, Kylie admitted: "I’m so glad I didn’t know that when I was making this album. I would have felt the pressure.”

Disco - Kylie's 15th studio album - is currently ahead by just over 2,000 chart sales, outperforming Confetti on downloads and vinyl sales. If it holds its lead, it'll be Kylie's eighth UK Number 1 album.

Kylie recently opened up about the chart battle with Little Mix, saying: "Look, you’ve always got to be up against someone.

"Anyone could drop anything at any time and then you’ve got competition you were completely oblivious to. So let’s try and get things as right as possible and carry on doing what we’re doing."

Both album campaigns have had a strong start: Kylie's album trailer Say Something is her biggest airplay hit since 2010's Get Outta My Way, while Little Mix have scored Top 10s with their lead track Break Up Song and current single Sweet Melody.

Say Something becoming Kylie's biggest radio success since 2010 is getting quiet a few mentions.

I have no doubt, Kylie really wants to achieve the album Number 1 this week to achieve the record and who could blame her for wanting to achieve such a magnificent accolade.

It's great the radio support for say something especially after all the hard work put in to get it where it us.

I was surprised to learn Little Mix had sold more CDs than Kylie! Extraordinary number of vinyl for her though - she’s the only female artist who has proved capable of regularly shifting a large amount of vinyl that is usually reserved for male rock/indie acts (although Gaga might join her as her last album managed 8.5k, a record for female artists, and I guess future albums could do the same).

Kylie is currently eighth on this list:
