I'm guessing they left it purposely vague to allow more options when writing her back in. It's kinda surprising we even got a Kat exit scene tbh.

Are we seriously meant to feel for Tiffany and Keegan having "nowhere to live"? They're related to half the square. Also, perhaps they should have, you know, not lived there illegally?

A better episode tonight. Shirley and Jack were great.

Omg I know. First of all they have been illegally subletting. Then they could just move upstairs to where Keegan’s mum lives. Oh, and there’s Dot’s where half of Tiff’s family are. Oh and Uncle Jack’s too where I’m sure there’s some space. Oh yeah, and Keegan’s sister has a pretty massive house too. And if all fails there’s Milton Keynes or (given no COVID 19 in EE) they could even move to Germany to be with Ricky if they got REALLY desperate.

Seriously they’ve been pleading this whole storyline so wrong.

Tbh Karen must have a TARDIS flat, though I know she has two floors but she's got herself, Mitch, Bernie, Bailey, Chatham and Riley there. Tiffany and Keegan can have the floor in the living room I guess like Keanu used to

However, if Karen is temporarily leaving then it would work. Living logistics don't exist in soap world it seems.

Yes living logistics dont come into play in soaps. Keegan and whitney can be very bla at times they have become to whitney. Bernadette has become very lost as a character but I love karen.
Bernadette became a lesbian and then they forgot about her just like the did with Tina, who has always been a lesbian and never been a main focus of the show. When Iqra eventually splits from Ash she will probably end up in the same draw as the other lesbians.
Yeah what even happened with Bernadette? The story with her and Tiffany was great, just the thing EastEnders used to explore, but it just fizzled out since the Pride episode and you could count the times Bernadette has appeared on one hand.

Bernadette needs more screen time for sure!

As do Karen’s other two kids (who’s names I forgot lol) who you hardly see.

Keegans been shown enough lately and I swear every episode he’s in he’s getting some form of harassment from the police

Eastenders are obviously making a point about police harassment for people of colour and I suppose part of that is that it is repetitive and constant. I'm interested to see where it ends up.
The problem with Keegan’s story is because he was such a shit early on (stealing, rude to Denise, pretending he raped Louise, knife crime involvement) it’s actually easy to believe why the police would always suspect him-and it doesn’t come across fully that it’s always his skin colour that’s the reason. Perhaps if they were doing this storyline with a young black character that didn’t have the blatant criminal history, it would work a bit better.
Perhaps they are going for the angle that he's acted in a criminal way in the past because that's what is expected of him. I think it's an interesting and important topic for a soap.

I really wish we could swap the screen time of Iqra/Ash and Ben/Callum. Ben is AWFUL lol, it doesn’t help that he’s in virtually every episode. The Taylors are getting overused for me as well, and the only one I really like (Bernie) gets about as many lines as Marie in the cafe

I don’t think the quality has been...the best since Anniversary Week.

I still struggle to see Maxs Ben as Ben Mitchell.

Part of Ben Mitchell’s character is that he’s supposed to be slightly geeky, wears glasses, hearing aids etc.

Having him come back as some sort of sex god and then be centre of the show too is idk. I really wish Max Bowden come into the show not playing Ben Mitchell. Harry I think (well the Ben before Ben) was the best actor they had for that character tbh he was believable as Ben Mitchell and a lot more likeable too. This Ben is like the Joshua Pascoe Ben in terms of how he acts a bit of a regression.

But Max isn’t a bad actor he’s just playing a character who you aren’t really rooting for. Im glad he’s deaf though as it’s a important storyline to cover on a soap and it also fits as part of the character too. Tbh I think they made a mistake by having Ben Mitchell kill Heather though and turn all gangster etc.

I think it’s still probably the best soap on TV right now though

I wonder how many more episodes they have left in the bag. I wonder are the soaps going to go off air. If it happens they should show key episodes in the time slots.

Sharon and Phil getting back together just makes the whole of last Christmas and Sheanu pointless, the second Christmas in a row to be rendered meaningless after Hayley and Alfie left a few weeks after it in 2018 :drama:

And I don’t think the Keegan storyline is great either tbh, institutional racism is a big problem but it’s difficult to feel sorry for Keegan when he has a history of being violent, misogynistic and homophobic so it’s not like this behaviour is a big stretch for him.

Edited by Andrew.

I cackled at ‘Highways to Hell’ tbh. A rebrand *.*
