Let’s turn this thread back round again, it’s a bop! Far better than some of the songs from the album and I’d be tempted to say it their best single since solo!

Well it’s creating a lot of discussion on here, so it stands out at least.

Still liking it and listening to it daily. :music:

This is now officially in my top 5 Clean Bandit songs. Love it

It only 'stands out' to me in how remarkably generic it is compared to Clean Bandit's former glories lel x Just sounds like any other Mabel song apart from the strings (which I guess make it about 10% better? lol).

(though I really shouldn't expect any better from them now, even the singles I liked from album 2 were significantly more generic than their earlier stuff, this is just them going further down the rabbithole they were already going down)

It’s being preformed on The Voice Kids final. Idk if that’ll give it any sort of boost or not

#1 on iTunes after The Voice performance. Should enter the Spotify top 50 today or tomorrow once those new Nines songs drop out.

Gosh even the performance is dull

Clean Bandit really lost a bit of spark since they dropped a member and their cellist decided she wanted to be the leading lady

it's doing very well chart-wise, #1 on iTunes, #16 on Apple Music, #50 on Spotify

and R1 haven't added them yet

This is quite dull and lifeless but I will inevitably be bopping to this in the next few weeks. It sounds EXACTLY as you would expect a Clean Bandit and Mabel collab to sound like which (oddly) is a shame.

I don't mind the cellist being the leading lady, but Clean Bandit lost a bit of a spark when they dropped Neil Smith.

Wasn’t it more Neil dropped CB?

I don’t get all the negativity towards Mabel.

Glad to see the track charting well.

Remember to be kind please.

while was low-key bout to try to start a mabel forum...that being said she had had an impressive string of hits! not sure what shes doing wrong....

I think this is both Mabel and Clean Bandits weakest efforts as far as singles go. It’s just void of any real personality and doesn’t have anything about it. I think both are capable of a lot better and by working together I was really hoping that Clean Bandit would try and push Mabel out of her comfort zone and we’d get something different.

Mabel is just a bit blah at this point. Like she’s kinda went down the Anne Marie direction of getting worse musically as she’s gotten more success / exposure.

The Clean Bandit production doesn’t have much magic in this either. The way for example Symphony and Solo shined and you could instantly tell it was a CB production this kinda just feels like a Mabel track for some reason the production just isn’t selling this for me. Idk it might grow I imagine it’ll be on the radio a lot and it has potential to be a big hit as it’s radio friendly and inoffensive but yeah this could’ve been a real turning point for Mabel where she experimented a bit and tried to put out something a little different and instead we get.... this.
