Just watched Brian De Palma's Redacted and given the current news about Afghanistan it couldn't be more topical. A great film if not exactly pleasant viewing

Not on DVD ... but last night I watched a superb German film on BBC4 'The Wave'.
Currently watching 'Finding Nemo'! It's seriously my all-time favourite film. It's just quote after quote after quote after quote!
i've just watched a film called dear zachary and it's without a doubt the saddest films i've ever seen. if anyone's ever seen the notebook or dancer in the dark and you cried at them then this just blows them both out of the water combined. i started crying from like 10 minutes in and an no point were my eyes dry til the end. i seriously recommend it to anyone..

Shutter Island on Blu-Ray

Then yesterday Inception at the cinemas.

My mind shall hurt for a while seeing them nearly back to back

Date Night

This is seriously the funniest movie i've seen this year by far.

"that's amazing jeremy but i am gonna go home now and look at my vagina with a hand mirror"

"and you are gonna work that pole like a russian immigrant"

It wan't me who said it wasn't amazing btw. It's probably Chris or James, or both.

Tina Fey

Watched an early Denzel Washington film called' Ricochet' co-staring the great John Lithgow. Highly silly film with that 90's feel to it but enjoyable nonetheless. Also watch 'The Parallax View' the other night and was left dissapointed. It was a strong thriller but I didnt feel it aged too well. Never been a big fan of Warren Beatty though. -_-

The Tracey Fragments

Hard work keeping up with all the split screens, especially when you're tired  Will watch it again when I'm awake  to give better judgement!

Just watched 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo', after reading the books a few months back.

Absolutely loved it, Noomi Rapace is absolutely brilliant as Salander and the film as a whole stays pretty true to the book.

Not too keen on it already being remade into a Hollywood blockbuster though, I have to say...

Watched Zodiac last night, the directors cut, on blu ray, thought it was a brilliant film (David Fincher is amazing), was the first blu ray i've watched on my new tv and it just looked fantastic. Very detailed film with a great cast.

Precious.

Spine tinglingly amazing.

Gran Torino ... just bloody brilliant. I'd gone off Clint Eastwood in recent years ... but this was fabulous.

Kath

Fascinated in that in a small way ... it was a bit like Ken Loach's Raining Stones (the priest, the villains, the hero).

Iron Man 2 last night, finally watched it after months of really wanting to. Was good, but i'm biased, Robert Downey Jr good as always, thought the pace was maybe where it was weak, well shot though, as blockbusters go this was better than your average one.

It was actually rather quite enjoyable. I really like the first one so i wasn't expecting much from the second one as studios usually screw sequels up. I think i actially like the second one better.

yep but it's from Marvel Studio's so it was in Marvel's own hands, best thing about that studio is that they won't f*** up the story or characters.

Yes thats true. They are like Pixar in a way.

Memoirs of a geisha

Fantastic. Been hoping to watch it for years. Got it for 3 quid at hmv. Not everyone's cup of tea though so i wouldn't reccomend it to just anyone.
