So nice she is getting recognition, finally!
Just listened and phew, what a great album! Hugely consistent and not a single dud moment? Great highs and a really solid album from start to finish. Going to give it a lot more time and repeated listens and see if it continues to grow further, but on one listen I am v impressed

I've listened to the (standard) album quite a few times now (and at different levels of drunkenness =p) and I regret to say that this is following her alternation of one great/one meh album trend for me =( As in NS, BI, TS, VOM being the amazing ones, and R, TT, S and now MC not doing much for me.

Decent tracks: the 4 singles, Good Enough, Here I Am and Nowhere To Run (but none standing out other than WIA)

Song I'm struggling to listen to again: Escape, Overload, End Of Everything, High Heels RMX

(Despite owning the deluxe version I still haven't had found a way to listen to the bonus CD so can't talk about those 3 songs yet.)

So it's a bit of a 6/10 for me. As I've over listened to first three singles, it leaves me with 4 songs to enjoy, but again nothing I'm dying to go back to unfortunately. This sounds a bit like VOM but one level down for me, both in terms of originality and lyrics.

I've listened to it a couple of times through now (standard not deluxe) and to me it is the epitome and 3 killer tracks the rest filler.

Basically Who I am, Blame it on me and In and out of love are the best songs on the album, the rest ranges from ok (overload, good enough) to awful (fearless).

I don't see any potential singles left on the album. At least it won't be one of those albums we think why didn't she release X song like Burn from The sea.

I see several potential singles left on the album: Good Enough, Here I Am, Overload. They would all sound great on the radio. B-)
The album must’ve been dispatched after all as it’s just came!! The Violet is gorgeous

Edited by Andrew.

I fell in love with Nowhere To Run and Here I Am. The five singles are equally amazing. Not a ballad person, but I enjoy End Of Everything. I don’t skip but I can say Good Enough and Escape are my least faves. It’s her best album, second only to Northern Star. And the reviews and love from the public are showing.
My deluxe has came today need to get chance to listen to the bonus tracks
I loved the live version of Into You. In one of her last interviews she hinted there will be more videos. Fingers crossed it’s this one or Nowhere To Run.
SUCH a good album - not a single dud? I think it could well be her strongest album (and I'm not saying that impulsively, I've only heard each of them once or twice so far and that was this year! :heehee:). Melanie's found a sound that really works for her and it's really cohesive. Not heard the deluxe tracks yet but my CD came today and I can't wait to hear them too!
Whatever happens with this era she has added Who I am to her top tier of songs. Hopefully it is a staple of her shows and whatever she does from now on.
A very solid album. The only song I'm not really feeling is Escape. Overload and Good Enough deserve music videos.
