I guess it's good she has put all this eras songs together. Will hopefully help her get a few extra streaming sales for Melanie C.

The streams are good compared to her standards, but if her team pushes a bit more on the album as Sammy says, it would be better and a lesson learnt for the next release. Version Of Me numbers are 😱

They know it’s all about sharing new content (remixes, acoustic versions) and pitch that to playlists creators.

Again, great job, but the team needs to work hard to increase those numbers if they want to help Mel get another top10 album.

Still so glad that the album went Top 10

That was so exciting and lovely to see a Spice Girl back in the top 10!! 🥰 Hopefully she can repeat the feat with her next album!

It really was. And very much deserved as well. All in all, this has been a great era for Mel

The album is a great achievement!!

Since it's the one year anniversary of the album. Let's take a look at her streaming numbers.

Who I Am 3,231,239

Blame It On Me (Acoustic) 2,730,453

Blame It On Me 2,150,734

In And Out Of Love 1,980,515

High Heels 1,711,355

Into You 1,083,476

Overload (Todd Terry Remix) 1,072,651

Overload 957,595

Fearless 526,770

Good Enough 410,517

Here I Am 276,894

Escape 273,361

Nowhere To Run 232,736

End Of Everything 225,495

Touch Me 157,611

Yeah her streaming numbers have massively improved since the Version of Me, which is good. 7 tracks over 1million isnt too bad for an artist of her stature.
Congrats Melanie. A great example of hard work and never giving up. Plus, I love her voice in this record. The Sea was a screamo album compared to Melanie C.

It was heart warming seeing Mel return to the Top 10 after so long.

The album was deserving of the feat too and I hope her next album can follow in its footsteps.

2 years has gone so fast :drama: Still happy that this provided her with a long awaited third Top 10 solo album

I think she has a great shot at achieving a Top 5 album with a future release. In the most recent chart, Mark Owen managed #5 with 5,808 sales. Two years ago Melanie C was #8 with 7,265 sales. She chose such a competitive week! Just a week earlier she'd have been #5 with those same sales.

Don’t even it would have been amazing to see her top 5! Fingers crossed for next time although I’ll be delighted with another top 10. Hopefully it is coming soon!

It really has flown by!

I’m kind of surprised that she’s taking so long to follow it up tbh. I know long gaps between her albums has been a regular occurrence over her career, but after self-titled I thought she’d not take quite so long again.

She's doing a lot of djsets and festivals probably she needs money to make a new record.

I hope we will have something next year, I am thirsty for new music

I would guess it is a money thing. She evidently ploughed loads of cash into Melanie C, loads of music videos that had a bigger budget, lots of formats, remixes. The extra cash both was evident but also paid off for a chart placement and better overall product and era.

I don't see her going back to two formats, 2 cheap videos and an album charting at #23 again. Though I also see her travelling all the way to Australia for cheques for DJ gigs so I don't think she is in the position post SW19 she was in when she released Melanie C when she just had taken a huge cheque.

She's doing a lot of djsets and festivals probably she needs money to make a new record.

Or rather, she needs time & focus?

She has been working non-stop in the last couple of years.

This. The content is there. Maybe she’s adding some new stuff.

It’s a matter of months. And there’s gonna be news during her Sporty50 30 gig
