May 21, 20205 yr Wow, I just listened to it for the first time and for me it's already her best song since Still Falling For You. I have loved her since Under The Sheets, but recently feared she had lost it, as none of her releases clicked with me. This, however, sounds like a real comeback. Loving the Dua sample as well.
May 21, 20205 yr Omg she’s actually gone and released something what’s actually really good! I’m so happy! This is like a return to form. I knew she had it in her this is the best thing she’s done in ages for me and that’s just off one listen.
May 21, 20205 yr Just realised in 2013 Ellie was #1 and Gaga was #5 with Applause and they’re having another chart battle!
May 21, 20205 yr Gave it one listen so far. Glad she's back in the right direction with her music and that what she wants as an artist is better than what the record company wants which is promising. Song is decent but nothing wow - might take a few more listens to get into it. I'm glad the 'Be The One' sample is subtle as I didn't want it to be so unoriginal. @Jordan Lee - I'd be surprised if this was to battle with Gaga, I'd be more than happy with just a top 40 debut tbh!
May 21, 20205 yr I really really love this and haven’t liked anything of hers in maybe years at this point
May 21, 20205 yr This is instantly better than anything she has done in AGES (barring 'Flux'). I think it's too late to save her though.

May 21, 20205 yr iTunes: #15 Brazil #19 Austria #37 New Zealand #52 Mexico #60 United Kingdom #94 Belgium #108 Canada #168 Taiwan #191 Germany #258 Spain #299 Netherlands #316 Russia #340 Italy #446 United States Hopefully it can go top 40 here tomorrow. I love this so much, I've adored every song from this era but I think this might end up being my second fave after Close To Me. I honestly had no interest in her two years ago but I'm lowkey stanning now!! Loving Delirium.
May 22, 20205 yr Aaaah its so much better & actually sounds like her! I'm not in love with it yet but its such a step in the right direction of sounding at least LIKE an EG song again!
May 22, 20205 yr well this is a big step up from her last few singles with guest rappers, I knew she had it in her.
May 22, 20205 yr omg FINALLY. This is way more like it, definitely her best since the first Halycon era! If only she could release the stuff she actually wanted to. She spoke a bit about the two different directions she has on Jessie Ware’s podcast and how the Americans like the stuff like Worry Bout Me but the UK responds to the more ‘raw’ stuff like River... The Be the One sample feels unintentional until someone noticed the similarities.
May 23, 20205 yr Upon first listen I was slightly disappointed as I thought the chorus just copied Be the One, but finding out that this actually samples Dua makes me enjoy it a lot more. This is the Ellie I miss, hopefully people can get behind her again after her trip down rent-a-rapper road.
May 23, 20205 yr Does it sample Be the one? I don't think so think it's just the melodies are similar so they added the writers to avoid a suit
May 23, 20205 yr It's more of an interpolation than a sample I'd say. Dua Lipa's icon status confirmed again! Queen #StreamBreakMyHeart
May 23, 20205 yr I really like this it feels like it fits her older stuff well so I'm hyped for her album now, queen ellie is back ahhh
