Posted March 25, 20205 yr hNqdxGsbQsA On the cusp of being a top 20 hit in the UK and is top 10 on global Spotify right now, pretty huge stuff. Samples Coffee by beabadoobee. This has been such a big grower for me, the sample sounds fantastic and I really like the raps too, powerful lyrics.
March 25, 20205 yr It's alright, but I'd rather listen to the original! (or indeed, any of Bea's other music) rx4h6CkJgbc
March 27, 20205 yr Playlisted by Radio 1 today! But understandably only titled as ‘coffee for your head’
April 10, 20205 yr It's very similar to NF's Let You Down I think. It's definitely in the same vein I thought that too! Really like both of them though, glad this has joined it in being a top ten hit as well.
April 10, 20205 yr This song is sooooo sad, love it though  The lyrics definitely hit hard. I don't think I've actually paid attention to the lyrics, I'm just casually bopping along like it's a chilled summery track! I guess the title should give me some sort of idea?
April 10, 20205 yr I was surprised this got quite positive commentary in the chart thread! Definitely stands out in today's charts and a brilliant use of a sample.
April 10, 20205 yr Author The lyrics in the verses are really depressingly sad, which contrasts brilliantly with the unassuming, gentle sample. It's comfortably in my top 5 of the year now, a huge dark horse over the past month or so. Thrilled it's top 10 in the UK!
April 10, 20205 yr Author heard Bea's original (full) song and it's very nice too Agreed! Really lovely song.
April 10, 20205 yr My Festival Fun II entrant Oscar Lang has a writing credit on this as he co-wrote Bea's original!
April 11, 20205 yr I hadn't thought of this being in the same vein as Let You Down before but I can see it. It feels much more like the 2020 version of 'i hate u, i love u' to me.
April 11, 20205 yr I'd liken it more to Let You Down than the gnash song, mainly because I dislike this and hated Let You Down
