The original of this track was a UK Top 40 in the nineties, how will the mix fare in BJSC?
March 26, 20205 yr Well there's two more songs I know in that first section than in the whole of Semi 1 :P My housemates have been playing Waking Up Slow continuously for the last few months so very familiar with that (and enjoy it!) and I heard Every Colour a couple of weeks ago but can't remember too much about it.

From ghosts, to bloods and fangs, it's like we've travelled back to October for this portion of Semi Final Two. An experimental hip-hop trio isn't the usual BJSC fodder but it only takes a good song to capture the imagination of Buzzjack and we know Seyetana are no strangers to a bit of quirky. She's never been entered to the contest before but she's got a very interesting image and with a description of "cool, charismatic yet insane", I think we'll all be intrigued to take a sip of this rich bitch juice! Persephonia are taking it back to rap as they employ female rapper 070 Shake to do their business for 123. This New Jersey girl has been picking up a bit of hype on the blogs of recent but how will Buzzjack take to her debut here? nVn7_9IuvqI Song: More Artist: Lloren More you ask? Well, we'll end it with a touch of Ultraviolenceland who have entered British singer-songwriter Lloren with the sex driven 'More'. She made the final of The Voice 2018 in the UK which unsurprisingly hasn't led to success in the charts but we've seen plenty of talent show contestants find success in BJSC - will Lloren be the next in line?

March 26, 20205 yr Already heard 3 of the 4 non-me songs in that section! 'Blood Of The Fang' was in my end of year chart last year, an absolutely insane track that in retrospect I'm surprised I never thought to enter myself (in one of my crazy risky moments it would have been, but those pay off for me more often than not so hopefully it can for Iz too x). Tchami and Alice Longyu Gao are both solid tunes too (the latter produced by Dylan Brady of 100 gecs, fun fact x). And another one for the ghost tally! Me to win xox 'Guilty Conscience' is easily my fave song of 2020 so far, hoping it can appeal fairly widely. (070 Shake is a rapper but this song isn't really rap, it's more a blend of 80s-y synthpop and R&B with a bit of trap percussion in the latter half, definitely the most pop-leaning song from her album)

March 26, 20205 yr Also excited for Terra Avium's entry if the two Fractal Dreamers / Helblinde entries to other contests (both of which got max points from me) are anything to go by. Guess it was only a matter of time before they popped up as a main contest Terra Avium entry after their previous successes! Wholune certainly looks like an ~interesting~ choice as well. x They are my absolute favourite discovery of the last few years and I was highly debating sending another song off the same EP as Fortuna Redux from Club Bizarre but they are fairly similar sounding, fortunately they had new music out recently! This isn't quite as strong as their last EP, but still a great slice of epicness and the more people I can introduce them to the better. Having said that, I would've much preferred to be in Semi 2 going by that draw oop. We'll see I guess. The only song I know has been Foster the People/Louis the Child which came up on my new music mix recently, I was wondering if anyone would send that, good song. (echoing the love for the effort <3)
