It's hard to compare 100% I suppose but Rita is another who struggles to sell albums, thought Dua would have much higher sales if she had correctly built from album 1.

Don't worry! JonasStyles has issued one of his famous predictions and has said that Dua Lipa's album will DEFINITELY be no.1! x It's safe!

people are giving Dua Lipa a hard time saying that her album underperformed, they probably forgot that we’re at a time where thousands of people in the UK are battling death, there are hundreds of daily deaths due to the coronavirus, as well as the global panic which lead to diminished interest in music/ entertainment overall, not to mention that record stores are closed and streaming numbers are down by 20%....

in normal cirumstances her album would have no problem selling 50k first week, but in dark times like these 25k-28k is still a good number nonetheless...

I don’t think her album would’ve done 50k, period, I think you’re way overestimating the current albums climate to think just about anyone could do 50k at the moment. I think it’d have possibly hit 30k in a normal climate.

Dua would have sold nowhere near 50k. Over 30k perhaps but I don't see where ~25k more copies would come from even in normal circumstances.

Other than that, I do agree that it's wrong to say Dua is underperforming. Her debut only sold 16k and this looks like it'll debut a good 10k higher which is great all things considered.

dua isn't underperforming - you can't compare her singles success because albums are a different game.

regardless of what happens this week, dua will sell more albums so there's no real need to worry.

it's a little disappointing that 5sos have resorted to using the nhs to try + sell more albums, it was a clean game until then.

Ugh, posts like this are so irritating. I kinda want her to lose out just to wind you up.

Chill out. Whether it's #1 or #2 just enjoy the music and videos etc. It's still clearly going to be a hit album but you don't have to put down other albums or mock other fanbases to make Dua's album more 'deserving'. There's probably hundreds of 5SOS fans who think the album is also one of the best albums as well.

Like, I'm all for wanting my favourite artists to do well and see them get a top ten single and have a hit etc but this sorta obsessive competitiveness is cringey.

Posts like yours are the ones that are useless because they fail to objectively describe the situation and fall into the everyone is similar and in the same boat category which is totally wrong.

I'm chill, i'm not from her fanbase, haven't even bought the album yet but I want her album to finish at nbr one because its a great album (again go check the global reviews not my opinion only) and now I have one more reason I want her to beat out the competition and its to see you cringe come friday 😂

it will hit close to that number dear :D

So you’re predicting that Dua will sell 29,700 copies between today and tomorrow?!

I think they mean the 30k prediction.

If someone had told me a few months ago that Dua Lipa and 5SOS would be competing for a #1 amidst the COVID-19 epidemic on April 1st, I would've thought it was a joke. But alas.

Come on fanbases, I want to see BLOOD.

Get your 20 CD bundle + a lock of hair and a stool sample from a random 5SOS member for 3.99 + shipping!!!1

Donating money to the NHS when it is about to face its biggest test it has ever faced, the bast*rds.

Seriously some people need to get some perspective, number 1 or not them putting money into the NHS right now should be applauded. I wish people wouldn't let their bias cloud the bigger picture, any money going into the NHS right now is desperately needed to save lives.

do you know if PND/Ri are close to Mabel? thanks in advance

Edited by Bjork

Looks likely that KSI will miss the top 40 and Young Adz will still have no top 15 hit to his name then (I'd lol if it ends up at #16, but it'll probably be lower), we love to see it!

Sadly PND/Rihanna aren't any closer to kicking out Mabel from the top 10 [there's about 1k between them] but Top 15 would be a good result for them considering the combo of PND/Drake could only reach #31.

Assuming The Weeknd will manage it due to streaming, I'm quite impressed to see four albums set to shift over 10k units given the circumstances.
BELIEVE IT is more likely to end up at #12 or #13 than #11 going by the figures we have today
How close is Believe It to #10 ? How many copies ?
How close is Believe It to #10 ? How many copies ?

as I said above it's about 1k, but Joseph's also right that it'll likely get overtaken by the two songs directly below it.
