Viva Forever is my 2nd favourite song on this album! I love ballads just as much as the next person! Lol.

 

Too Much is an 8. It's great. But NGUOTGT is in a whlle other league to me

I think Too Much is not only the worst song of Spiceworld, it's their worst single of all time.

Maybe is because i dont like the official video with those movie clips... or it's because i wanted Stop for second single of Spiceworld.

Stop couldn't have been the second single, they needed a ballad for the Christmas market. Viva forever was the only other option (which I actually think would have been a lot bigger and charted higher in the USA / sold more in the UK - perhaps being their 3rd million seller) but that has a fairly summery vibe to it with the latin feel.

Too much is one of their weaker singles and i never really listen to it anymore.

I think Too Much was the perfect second choice from the album :wub: It takes me right back to Christmas 1997, I played the cassette single over and over up until Christmas Day (when I got the Spiceworld CD, my very first CD *.* ).

 

I seem to remember Victoria saying at one point that Too Much is her favourite Spice Girls single?

I cannot take a side in this Too Much/NGUOTGT battle. The latter has such a feel-good vibe and oozes joy while Too Much is so melodramatic I love it. It also reminds me of the iconic opening sequence of the Spiceworld movie with each of the girls' silhouettes. :wub: and THEN there's Mel C's vocal in the middle 8. :heart:
