Oops is another one for me I find a tad overrated hence me giving it a 7. Still a solid song but I'm glad it's not top 5

Oops is a pop masterpiece! The perfect lead for her second era, and it certainly cemented her status as the "pop princess". One of the best songs of 2000 for sure. Everything about the video is... *chef's kiss*!

Next result coming up soon!

...BABY ONE MORE TIME [9.14]

Highest: Liam.k. & Nick Jonas (11) + ...ready for it, blacksquare, DionTheSats123, FUTURE NOSTALGIA, George.keh, isolAddy!, Jack, Jade, jakewild, Jay, Jonjo, NickF1, SamJudd, StayatHaus, Vülker & WinterFreeze

Lowest: Pavel (2) + Scene (05.5)

A bit of a shock result? :o Moving down a couple of places to 5th position is the legendary song '...Baby One More Time'. It was released in October 1998 as Britney's debut single, when she was just 16 years old. It propelled her to instant stardom, with it topping almost every chart across the world - including her home country the US, and every country in Europe! In the UK she broke the record for fastest selling debut single of all time, with 464,000 copies sold in the first week. It became one of the best selling singles of all time, with worldwide sales exceeding 10 million. You can't talk about '...Baby One More Time' without mentioning the music video! It's totally iconic, and its concept came from Britney herself - she wanted it to be set in a school, and she came up with the schoolgirl outfit look, which is certainly one of Britney's most memorable images of her whole career! Over 20 years later and it is holding up in the streaming age - its music video is fast approaching 500 million views on YouTube, while its been streamed almost 300 million times on Spotify. What a song... but not BuzzJack's ultimate favourite Britney single.

LMAO! WTH PAV!!!! A 2 to this, but a 9 to 'I Love Rock N Roll'... nah mate. :drama:

:kink:

WHAT A SONG. My favourite debut of ALL time. It just hits EVERY mark possible in a pop song and popstar. It blows me away every time still, even today. Every moment of it is iconic right from the opening intro of the song to the climax ending and then the video right from Britney sitting there at her desk waiting for the clock to hit 3 O'Clock as she taps her foot against the table leg and does that thing with the pen that literally everyone has attempted to do before, to the iconic looks and setting in the school... it makes me emotional seeing how far she's come and she is the first artist I got fully invested in as an artist and have avidly followed ever since.

Definitely shocking to see 'Baby' only fifth. Easily the best debut single by any artist imo and that video is just perfect. So legendary!

if there was no Britney - BOMT there would not be Christina, Jessica, Mandy, Paris, Hilary, Miley and list goes on...

Seriously what a moment in pop culture this was...if I ever witnessed a love at first sight then this was for me. I still remember just like today when I first saw the video. I'm totally in love with it today as well

'...Baby One More Time' not even top 3 is a shock :o as others have said it was the perfect debut for Britney! A ready-made pop smash that she put her stamp on just perfectly, from her now famous raspy but sweet vocal style to the whole school girl idea for the video. So happy that it eventually fell in her hands!

When a song like this "only" manages 5th, you know it's a legends only rate :cheeseblock: Pretty gutted it's not higher, but can't help the odd trolling scores ~

What a song and perfect debut onto the scene. I used to recreate the video in the playground and roll/tie my shirt up like that  So much love <3

Glad it's not top 3 but number 5 is OK. Iconic song but I prefer so many others
but can't help the odd trolling scores ~

I gave it a 5.5 because I don't LOVE it. I can appreciate it is a fantastic debut and well put together pop record with an iconic video but I don't overly enjoy listening to the song. Again, overexposure and it being EVERYWHERE killed any interest.

STRONGER [9.23]

Highest: SamJudd, WinterFreeze, Lukuzz & DionTheSats123 (11) + ...ready for it, Nick F1, isolAddy!, 🍆, Jonjo, George.keh, Cameron, Jay, Vülker, Liam.k. & Tawdry Hepburn

Lowest: Scenel (3) + jakewild (05)

Remaining a non-mover a #4 we have the anthemic and incredibly powerful Stronger. A song that is enough to get anyone through a tough time and just the days in general. It's really held up and seeing as i's 20 years old this year... WE STAN. I love that the forum in general appreciate this! I wish the general public could get on board with this the same way that they get on board with the likes of 'Baby...', 'Oops..', 'Toxic' etc.. The video is directed by Joseph Khan and was yet another iconic masterpiece! Who doesn't love a good chairography?? *.* My 11 year old self was convinced she actually did those :') tbh, who's to say she didn't? QUEEN.

I was trying to remember what else was still left aside from the obvious three and of course, 'Stronger' :o I always forget how loved that is on the forum! Such an uplifting anthem and the chairography in the video is yet another iconic visual moment from her!

Baby 5th, as much as I love it deserved. It's so iconic but she definitely has better.

I obviously knew how it went but I've only really grown to LOVE Stronger this year, I think after I watched Season One of Drag Race for the first time and saw Bebe and Ongina's lip sync I realised how good it was :')

Stronger is iconic. Gave it my 11 although its not my number 1 wanted it to place really high so 4th is great behind another 3 amazing songs to come
