Has anyone seen the S Club feature film? :o I went to see it in the cinema in 2003, and I've rewatched it so many times since :lol: It's more fantasy than their soap-like TV series, but is a lot of fun!

 

I did watch it in 2003 (on DVD though, I didn't see it at the cinema). I don't remember much about it tbh, it would be interesting to watch it again after all these years! I remember Gareth Gates has a cameo in it though which seemed like a big deal at the time. :')

 

I feel like they timed a movie way too late in their career. Had it come 2 years earlier, or even just a year earlier, I think it would have been far more successful and better received than it was. It's kind of weird that they announced that they were splitting up just 10 days after the movie hit the cinemas. :lol:

I remember watching it as a child and thinking wow they got Madonna in it 😂 I saw it on DVD a few years back for £2 so bought it and rewatched it and it was not as good as I remembered but cute enough. Could have seen this being a follow up to Spiceworld the Movie something like Spice Invaders with an accompanying album.

It was definitely odd timing in their career! I suppose the TV show was a priority?

I remember this seeing advertised at the cinema and being boggled by it. It seemed like such a weird choice. Never saw it.

My favourite fact about this movie: Jo's back problem meant she couldn't take part in the dance routines. Notice how she vanishes during all of them :lol: Though they actually wrote it into one scene with clone Jo not picking up the dance moves and being asked to sit out :')!!

Didn't we watch this together last year Joseph? it was good for what it was but i enjoyed the series more.
