April 28, 20205 yr I like Konichiwa Bitches. Not as much as her very best singles but I like that she can pull off that sort of style as well as the emotive sad synth ballads.
April 28, 20205 yr My fault for not voting, but I can't believe Do You Know (What It Takes) couldn't even get an average of 6! It deserves a lot more love than that!
April 29, 20205 yr Just making the top 20 is Do You Know another one of Robyn's early singles from the 90s- not really sure why this has placed higher than some of the others as it is quite similar sounding however it did make the top twenty by a tiny amount. Except it's much better than ALL OF THEM. I have a real soft spot for it, it's underappreciated. :(
April 29, 20205 yr I never saw the thread but just to chime in, here's how I would have rated: ? You’ve Got That Somethin ? Do You Really Want Me (Show Respect) ? Do You Know (What It Takes) 6 Show Me Love ? Electric ? Play 10 Keep This Fire Burning 6 Don’t Stop The Music 8,5 Be Mine! 7,5 Who’s That Girl 10 With Every Heartbeat (with Kleerup) 8 Handle Me 7 Konichiwa Bitches ? Cobrastyle 10 Dancing On My Own 8 Hang With Me 8 Indestructible 9,5 Call Your Girlfriend 8 Do It Again (with Röyskopp) 9,5 Missing U 10 Honey 8 Between The Lines 10 Ever Again 9 Baby Forgive Me 9,5 Dream On (Christian Falk feat. Robyn & Ola Salo) Honestly my 11 would probably go to 'Get Myself Together'!
April 29, 20205 yr Author Except it's much better than ALL OF THEM. I have a real soft spot for it, it's underappreciated. :( I always preferred Electric oops :/
April 29, 20205 yr Author AQggnOIpCvs 18. Keep The Fire Burning (7.38) 17. Baby Forgive Me (7.43) We lose our first Honey era-single in this batch as Baby Forgive Me leaves us with a fairly impressive score considering it’s placing. Keep The Fire Burning is one I’m happy has done better than others released earlier on in her career, definitely a standout of the earlier tracks for me!
April 29, 20205 yr Big scores if at 17 and 18 we're already at an over 7.25 average! A 7 average feels right for Konnichiwa Bitches
April 30, 20205 yr Would have thought KTFB would have. Done better ? Maybe it more known as a BK hit ?
May 1, 20205 yr Author 1zVECruSI3k 16. Cobrastyle (7.55) Missing out on a top 15 place is the electronic banger Cobrastyle- one of my favourites off her self-titled album just very fun and the refrain of “I press trigger I don’t press people button” is just constantly in my head- so infectious. Any guesses on what could leave us before we enter the top 10?
May 7, 20205 yr I’d say the Honey tracks are most at risk aside from the title track. Plus maybe Show Me Love?
May 7, 20205 yr Baby Forgive Me so low :( Body Talk put her on the map but Honey is just such a home run, I am dreading to see us losing its songs prematurely.
May 7, 20205 yr The title track is creeping up to become my favourite of hers now. The album is definitely the one that works best as an album too, although I can see why it doesn't appeal to everyone.
May 8, 20205 yr Author FvpDw6KQKgo 15. Show Me Love- (7.45) 14. Between The Lines (7.65) Happy to see Show Me Love finish at least top 15, definitely a highlight of early Robyn for me- a Max Martin production actually- featured in his musical &Juliet which was actually my first exposure to the song and made me visit her back catalogue! Then at 14th we have underrated Honey track Between The Lines which the music video doesn’t even have 500k views for :(. A highlight for me off the album even if the tracks still to come from the same album I do prefer!
May 12, 20205 yr Author GfK88LsB0fg 13. Dream On (with Christian Falk) (8.03) 12. Ever Again (8.5) At 13 we have the only collab I included in this rate due to the fact it’s her sole collab that charted top 40 in the U.K- it is in fact also my fave Robyn collab, so much fun and a classic Robyn brilliant pop song. At 12 I’m really happy to see Ever Again do this well- one of my absolute favourites off Honey and deserved a bit more love in general I think!
May 12, 20205 yr 'Ever Again and 'Between The Lines' are both magnificent. Two absolute highlights from that album.
