Forever was the only Spice Girls album I bought, whereas for most it was the only Spice Girls album they didn't buy!!

  • Bopping to THIS BOP today

  • I find that Let Love Lead The Way could have been up there with 2 Become 1 and Goodbye if the lyrics weren't so sacarine... The melodies and production are stunning, but the lyrics could have been tak

I’m seeing that shared on the forums etc as conclusive proof, but I would say it isn’t unfortunately, haha. Those lyrics are sourced from musixmatch, a site which says: “ Contribute to the world's biggest music catalog. Over 20 million people from around the world contribute to creating the largest catalog of lyrics ever.”. So anyone could have decided to add that ad-lib as being what they hear.

Didn’t they shoot Holler and LLLTW on the same day or was it over a few days?

Aparently it was 1 day for LLLTW and two for Holler back to back!

I realize Biff somewhat implied some of his unused material for Forever might be on an anniversary release of the album. But I'm not sure if that's the best use of the unreleased songs. This will probably be unpopular, but I honestly would question the need for a Forever25. And that's not a critique of the album (which I like just fine). Spice and Spiceworld were definitive pop albums that helped define what music was in 1996-1998. Forever was two and a half years of build up only for the group to immediately abandon the project after release. Is there much to commemorate?

What I'd kinda prefer for them to do is remaster and release the Biff material and four Kennedy songs...and couple those on a release alongside Goodbye and My Strongest Suit. Basically, take all the four piece material with the original collaborators...and go ahead and release it next year. It'd add up to about ten tracks. Why go this route? My guess is marketing "the lost Spice Girls album/the album that could have been" would generate more buzz than pairing the material with an album that is so synonymous with the fall of the group. Sidestep the negativity that comes with that era. Let the unreleased stuff stand on its own.

Though. I say all that while still thinking they may be a bit unlikely to release that much material at once. Part of me thinks they're more aware of the demand for their unreleased material than they sometimes let on...and there's a plan to stagger out releases for the rest of their lives.

I really love the idea of releasing "The Lost Pop Album". It would add another album to their discography. Unfortunately, I don't see the girls approving this idea. The girls are very protective of their legacy. Likely Stories wasn't released on Spice 25 because it got vetoed.

The Forever pop tracks will be judged less harshly if they are released on Forever 25 as outtakes. Marketing these songs as a lost album will cause them to be compared with Spice and Spiceworld. Melanie C and Biff talked about fans critiquing unreleased songs in their Q&A video.

I quite like the idea but honestly I feel they could just add a load of unreleased songs to an Anthology type of release, rather than a 'Lost Album' release cos I think it would be quite disrespectful to Forever and its contributors.

I would much rather have:

Forever25 with WOMAN and Right Back At Ya (Pop Mix) demos

Spice Universe - The Anthology release to mark the GH 25th anniversary, with a load of demos as a CD2

Forever25 needs to happen, lost album or not, and I will FIGHT anyone who prevents it from happening!

That's the demo they recorded and used as template for the tour. Thats the same audio as the clip in this:

As far as we know, there was never confirmation - or even talk about - Darkchild re-working WOMAN. He never touched it.

THAT'S RHE ONE!!! THQNK YOU!!!!

IT IS LIFELESS!!!

HOW DID YOU FIND IT?!?!?

'I wont tell no lie', Victoria Beckham, Holler, 2000

It's over my huns :teresa:

FALSE. It is 100% DEFINITIVELY, And I won't energise! It even has a Guiness World Record as being one of the ONLY SONGS EVER to reach nom1 to feature a Star Trek reference, and the arseholes at Spotify won't take that away from them!!

I completely agree with the earlier posts about how key and vital Geri was. They only wrote 3 good songs withour her, and Goodbye was structured and written 90% by Geri anyway  Their pop songs descended into Britney/ Nysnc Doo pop after she left, but without any spice or Britney energy, which is why they switched to rnb. Tbf, a third album in the style of doo pop would have been interesting, in 1999, but with better production and more lively sounds. They had two MAJOR no.1s on a 19999 pop album: Womaniser and pain Proof. They just needed another, and then they could have had a smaller era, with three no.1s, and an album of doo-pop. Forever could have followed in 2000 as planned. They could have even duetted with N Sync, Britney and BSB for a third doo pop album!! Although tbf, as Goodbye would have gone on this album, ths era would have spawned 4 no.1s.

I think with Forever, they just needed FAR bettwr material. Hollier/ LLLTW should always have been fiest - ICONIC AND AMAZING!! Then follow it up with IYWT(HSF)(SOYM?)(AYHF?)(AYHF?), but at 1,5 speed, better production, more funk, and a shorter ending. Then, a third song, much bwtter than anything on the album, advertised as their farewell single, to hopefully get enough hype for a final #1 and a A CLEAN break into solo careers. In the early 2000s they left us very confused about if they would continue or not. However, if you listened to Mel C's interviews - "this isn't my music. Listen to my solo album. That's the REAL me" - it was obvious what had happened. However, I wiuld ALSO have distanced myself like that from Forever!!!

22 years since the release of Holler/Let Love Lead the Way!

Holler >>>>>>>>> the rest of Forever

True fact! Although I like Forever nothing else was on par with Holler. Get down with me is the next single if they released one though utterly love that track.

22 years since the release of Holler/Let Love Lead the Way!

Iconique singles! Holler is a stone cold classic and LLLTW has grown so much with time :cheer:

Gonna listen to them now :w00t:

Amazing songs!

Really hope there’s a Forever25 although it seems unlikely !
