Hot Fuss is the debut studio album by the American rock band The Killers. It was released on June 7, 2004, in the United Kingdom and on June 15, 2004, in the United States. The album is mostly influenced by new wave music and post-punk. Hot Fuss spawned four commercially and critically successful singles: "Mr. Brightside", "Somebody Told Me", "All These Things That I've Done" and "Smile Like You Mean It".

This was a perfect album for a teenager in the 2000s. I have very fond memories of the Killers across all three eras that had within the decade. This album of course houses the never dying Mr Brightside which never took off chartwise in the UK at the time being just a brief no.10 hit but every night out had you belting out all the lyrics back then. And I guess the same is true today. This album will always remind me of Luciano, we talked about the Killers a fair bit over MSN back in the 2000s.

I remember first discovering The Killers after getting Now 60 for my birthday and 'Somebody Told Me' was on it. I need to listen to this album in full because I'm a fan of a lot of their singles but have been lazy when it comes to spinning an album. I always thought When You Were Young was on Hot Fuss. :o Shocked!
Great album, I prefer somebody told me to mr brightside but ne brightsude is their signature song and massive hit. I love all their albums but this will always be the album they are best known for.
Another of the top 5 albums of all time for me. Such a brilliant debut album, that holds up incredibly well today. Gorgeous production throughout. The vocal production is stunning too.

A fantastic album and a brilliant way to kick off their career as a band. The likes of Mr Brightside (especially this), Somebody Told Me, All These Things That I’ve Done, and Smile Like You Mean It have become iconic songs from the early 2000s that will forever be remembered.

I personal love this album... a lot. The first 7 tracks are consistently 10/10 and even the rest aren't anything bad it's just the album peters out a bit. Everything is at least a 7/10 though, including the non album/bonus tracks from this era

It set them up for the career they have today and are one of the very few bands from that time that have maintained good levels of success.

Fantastic album, Jenny Was a Friend Of Mine probably my highlight.

Got it on download, Cd & vinyl!

Incredible what a long stayer mr brightside became when initially it was just a minor hit.Its gonna continue popping in and out of the charts for years to come and their greatest hits has also done great which isnt the norm for bands like the killers.
Great first half but the second half takes a severe dip for me, especially after On Top.
Fantastic album, Jenny Was a Friend Of Mine probably my highlight.

The hit that wasn't. Shame it wasn't an official single
