I was expecting a top 5 in vinyl chart at least.

 

Vinyl is so big now that a serious amount get sold weekly - NN went Top 20 on the vinyl chart when it was reissued and that was much bigger album than Girl here.

 

A real shame it fell so much from its initial #35 midweek position - I would looking forward to seeing it back in the charts :drama:

Guess it’s good Girl is still selling. Charts sadly are ruined by streams and don’t give artists with small- medium followings a chance. Even those with big followers still struggle.

Girl just seems destined to never get justice.

If it charted they might have given an updated total, if its sales overall are 20k since its release its a huge tragedy for an album as good as it is.

I would have loved it to appear on the charts but I’m personally so pleased one of my favourite albums has been released on vinyl and some care and attention has been put into the reissue.

How disappointing that Girl missed the Top 100 this time around.

Anyone have access to the Top 200 chart?

Are there any plans to reissue the first two albums? I already have the deluxe from 2007. Not sure I would shell out £40 for both though. I’ve bought girl and neon nights though as these two are her best albums.

^^ I doubt we’ll see those re-issued, the rights are with MCA/Universal who haven’t done much/anything with her back catalogue - they could be licensed to another label but it would be a very niche release I guess.

Unless someone like cherry red picks them up i couldnt see them getting reissued.

She did specify “album sales” tbf, although does say “Top 20 again” so seems to think it did better the first time around! :lol:

Girl is very underrated album but what I will say is Dannii only released 4 albums but we’ve had a tonne of b sides, remixes and rare stuff released. The remixes of Dannii’s songs are generally a lot better than Kylies too.
