Whoops I missed voting again but I'd have only made it even more lopsided, Green Day was the blindingly obvious winner from the beginning.

1st Avril Lavigne - When You're Gone (27 Out Of 43 Votes [62.79%]

Marching her way to becoming the winner of this Survivor round, it's Avril with 'When You're Gone'. The 2nd release from her 2007 album The Best Damn Thing. It peaked within the top 3 in June. A delicate ballad about missing someone and according to her words about it, it is her way of bringing out emotions without being cheesy about it.

2nd Alicia Keys - Fallin (16 Votes Out Of 43) [37.21%]

Back in 2001 we saw the debut of Alicia Keys with 'Fallin', still to this day muchly remembered. It peaked at 3 and spent 7 weeks inside the top 40. A very soulful yearning R'n'B classic.

3rd Kylie Minogue - Red Blooded Woman (18 Votes Out Of 44) [40.91%]

I don't think it was going to be anyone else in all honesty, Kylie scoops up her 2nd Survivor victory after 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' 3 years back. Released as the 3rd single off her massive album Fever it was 'Love At First Sight' for many of us as it scooped up her 10th!! #2 peaking song in her career. A classic 00's Kylie song for me especially with such a great video to accompany it. She was just unlucky to run into that JXL and Elvis hit.

and runner up comes from Freemasons who have been darkhorsing their way through this Survivor with the dance cover of the Alanis Morrisette song of the same title. It was the Freemasons only top 10 here in October of 2007 featuring vocals from Bailey Tzuke.

1st Girls Aloud - No Good Advice (21 Votes Out Of 35)

[60.00%]

Winning out this survivor we see Girls Aloud take charge with 'No Good Advice'. The follow up single to SOTU and which stalled at 2 in May behind an artist we won't speak about now. Through research it turns out that Aqua's frontwoman Lene wrote the sassy pop track and what a pop song it was. Certainly one of their better tracks for me so a deserved win you'd say!

2nd Amy Winehouse - Rehab (14 Votes Out Of 35) [40.00%]

Released in late 2006 and peaking at 7 saw the late Amy Winehouse make a return in a huge way with her very personal and relatable to lots of people.. 'Rehab'. It proved to be a launching pad for becoming Amy's biggest critical success and mammoth selling #1 in the form of Back to Black.

3rd Jennifer Lopez - Love Don't Cost A Thing (18 Votes Out Of 39) [46.15%]

4th Beyoncé Ft Jay-Z - Déjà Vu (22 Votes Out Of 40) [55.00%]

5th Pixie Lott - Mama Do (20 Votes Out Of 36) [55.56%]

6th Architechs featuring Nana - Body Groove (15 Votes Out Of 36) [41.67%]

7th George Harrison - My Sweet Lord (15 Votes Out Of 41) [36.59%]

8th Akon - Locked Up (14 Votes Out Of 37) [37.84%]

9th Usher - Confessions Part II / My Boo (13 Votes Out Of 38) [34.21%]

10th Soulja Boy - Crank that (Soulja Boy) (12 Votes Out Of 42) [28.57%]

It was pretty obvious from the start to me that GA were likely sealed to win this one  it is with one of their better songs as I mentioned in my commentary so can't begrudge it all!
One of Kylie's best, and always love Girls Aloud, though Rehab is a classic and would likely win a radio poll.

Always found No Good Advice to be pretty overrated but when I think about it a lot of their songs are overrated imo

I actually didn't know that Amy had top 75 hits prior to Rehab, definitely one fitting for the TIL thread.

BuzzJack making a fantastic choice with Girls Aloud winning  Pop at its most exciting.

1st Coldplay - Fix You (23 Votes Out Of 45) [51.11%]

It was SO nail bitingly close all the way with like 15 Tie-breakers  but we got here and it was presumed to be a walk in the park for Coldplay and whilst that wasn't quite true exactly they still managed to swing an extra vote in by voting closure to secure the win of this Survivor. 'Fix You' is one of their biggest and most memorable hits peaking at #4 but ultimately being a huge sound bed and cover song for Reality TV shows like X Factor, The Voice etc and a big singalong song for festivals/gigs too. I think there would genuinely be some wrathful reactions had they not won tbh but that actually did look like a possiblity an hour or two prior to closing lmao.

2nd A1 - Caught In The Middle (22 Votes Out Of 45) [48.89%]

In Runner up it is British-Norweigan band A1 who were very successful for 3 years in the charts. 'Caught In The Middle' was released in February 2002 and peaked at #2 behind Enrique's 'Hero'. It was mentioned already by me that I knew they'd give some battle in the final as they did have some fans but I don't think anyone was actually expecting them to keep tie's with Coldplay so many times during a head to head. We've certainly not had that many before I don't think. Personally speaking it is absolutely one of the better boy group songs of the 00's too so a much deserved runner up I think.

3rd Pussycat Dolls Ft Snoop Dogg - Buttons (20 Votes Out Of 37) [54.05%]

4th Spice Girls - Holler / Let Love Lead The Way (15 Votes Out Of 36) [44.12%]

5th Ne-Yo - Miss Independent (15 Votes Out Of 44) [34.09%]

6th James Blunt - 1973 (14 Votes Out Of 41) [34.15%]

7th Michael Jackson - You Rock My World (14 Votes Out Of 31) [45.16%]

8th Dizzee Rascal - Holiday (11 Votes Out Of 35) [31.43%]

9th Craig David featuring Sting - Rise & Fall (10 Votes Out Of 34) [29.41%]

10th Twista - Sunshine (11 Votes Out Of 38) [28.95%]
