Body Language gives me a huge appetite for most of Kylie s other albums which house much superior music.

Listening to this album again I feel very , while there are some great standouts "Slow", "Red Blooded Woman" & "Secret (Take You Home)", it loses steam at the half-way point starting with "Chocolate"-"Obsession"-"IF4U" & "Someday" - it quickly becomes lacklustre & never really recovers. "AD" was a kinda bland ending to the album & never really heard "SM" before & didn't really miss much.

Totally this - it’s such a wasted opportunity after the ‘Fever’ era to follow it up with this.

It’s just overall a ‘nothing’ album, it’s pleasant and sounds ok in the background but there is nothing wow about it!

It was a disappointing follow up to the excellence that was offered before it and before it again.

'I'm Just Here for the Music' falls flat for me, I can see why it was passed on.

I'm guessing Paula Abdul jumped at the chance to record it after she rejected 'Spinning Around'! :P

 Paula was definitely salty over SA hence why she pounced in this.

It’s no big loss tbh and Paula’s version is questionable although it did become a #87 US smash for her

Didn't Paula write I'm Just Here For The Music, lol?

Either way, it was just a bad follow-up to the mini-momentum she had with Dance Like There's No Tomorrow. Oh Paula!

ya id be for for another one next friday, what album will be cover next week, id prefer a more popular kylie album as we have covered some of the least popular ones so far

I will say, in favour of Paula, that she likely thinks about the dancing routine more than the actual song itself. And her routine DID bring the song alive better than Kylie ever could to be fair here.
I should be able to participate next week but would know in more certainly early next week.

It's been a long time since I listened to Fever.

I was going to suggest Light Years but seeing as there is a lot of love for Fever let’s do that, such an iconic album (We need it after enduring BL :drama:)
Some of the B-Sides & Bonus tracks from this era -

Almost A Lover (B-Side to "Red Blooded Woman")

You Make Me Feel (Japanese Bonus Track)

Cruise Control (American Bonus Track & B-Side to "Red Blooded Woman")

City Games (B-Side to "Chocolate")

Soul On Fire (B-Side to "Slow")

Some of these are OK, not to the level of the "Fever B-Sides", but "City Games" & "Soul On Fire" could have made the album instead of "Someday", "Obsession" or "After Dark", even "Almost A Lover" could have replaced some of those lacklustre tracks & while it wouldn't have solved all the album's problems, I think it would have had a slightly better flow.

Id prefer Light Years but Fever is a solidly good album too.

I will do my best to join in.
