Another example of weaker songs getting picked ahead of greater songs such as Tightrope.

In Your Eyes - I felt initial disappointment when this was announced as the second single, but this feeling passed after watching the music video. It remains as one of my personal favourite Kylie videos! I love the colours, and the punch to the camera with the Kylie ring logo is iconic to me! To this day the song is one of my absolute favourite Kylie singles. Deserved to be bigger than it was!

Dancefloor - This is probably my least favourite song on the album. There's nothing wrong with it, I'm just not crazy about it. Borders on being filler.

Love Affair - One of Fever's strongest tracks! Absolutely love it. It amazes me that it's her best selling album track though, I feel like she has more well known album track moments than this one?

Your Love - This makes for a pleasant and chilled listen. I'm not sure there's much more to say about it! Just nice~

Burning Up - This song is a moment! A huge favourite at the time, and still is now. Memorably quirky. It's certainly an interesting note to close the album on.

Tightrope - WHY WASN'T THIS A STANDARD ALBUM TRACK! This is a beautiful song, one of the very best of her career. Worthy of more than mere bonus track/B Side status. Maybe they felt the vibe wasn't quite right for it, but personally I think it would have sounded right at home.

it seems to be popular in general but i have to say its one i overlooked in the past but loved it now listening to the album again

13. Tightrope - 10/10*

"Tightrope" should have been on the album instead of "GI2M"

Thanks for hosting this had a BLAST :w00t:
I used to like this a bit more but listening to so many brill songs makes this sound kinda weak, not bad at all for a b side track and reminds me of the good days of cd singles and getting new songs for b sides.
A song of this calibre doesn't fit with Fever but could have became what we were looking for from Body Language.

Baby, I have feel the same about Baby as Good Like That.

Kylie must have enjoyed the recording of these songs as they carve the path to Body Language but of a higher standard than many of the tracks housed on that album.

I prefer this to good like that listening to it now but I think this and good like that don’t kinda gel with the other songs on the album.

Loved reading your thoughts Jay! Picking out these two in particular. The 'In Your Eyes' video is one of my favourites too, it matches the vibe of the song so well - the colours capture that trippy, explosive nature of the production and of course the Kylie ring makes for a memorable moment. I wish this had been bigger too but I guess was naturally overshadowed by 'Head'. A massive radio hit though!

'Tightrope' is sublime, isn't it? I think it works perfectly with the album too, maybe they didn't want too many songs that weren't dancefloor fillers but I don't think adding this would have altered the direction of the album at all.

i can see why some people rate fever as kylies best album and it is really brilliant but i still slightly prefer light years but this was the best possible follow up to light years that you can get if you are a big fan of light years.
