There is certainly enough interest, just hope there are enough copies to return it to the charts for the first time since 1998.

What we've all been waiting for! :cheer: I could see this easily reaching Top 40 even if it is limited, although apparently someone on SayHey has said there's set to be multiple coloured vinyl!

 

Released pretty much on its 25th anniversary too!

If multiple colours are getting released at the same time IP will finally return to the top 40, I'm so happy about this release, it kinda feels like a real moment.

Total sales are about 65.2k by the way, based on its average between the 2019 and 2020 updates we got for the album.

Fingers crossed it won't go to print until they've sourced a better image for the cover! Would be a bit of a shame to go with an inferior scan.

About time! Logically they will have various colours to match the cover, in which case I think I’d like a lilac one. I’m more interested in a version with a holographic cover though

Outside a brand new release i think this is the release many of wanted the most although the only thing i would pick above it is anti tour cd/dvd but im happy with this for now, i just really hope they make vinyls available for everyone that wants it and i hope they get the artwrok/print right in time for its release, i would have loved the holographic cover for the vinyl.

Seriously BMG have always owned the rights to IP and they have a real chance to produce something special - they clearly know the demand is there for the vinyl version of this album, I hope they don’t falter at the final hurdle after we have waited so long.

Yes there is a great opportunity here and I really hope tgey can get tge release spot on and something tells me Kylie will want this to go well plus she knows the fans really want this.

How many different colours of vinyl do you think they will release. I think either 3 or 5.

^^ I think 3, I would love a box set with a holographic sleeve and a book with all the photos from that era but I’m sure that’s a wish too much :lol:

 

They could really go something special with this release though and the artwork, I hope we at least get a holographic sleeve or insert like the original limited edition CD.

The holographic sleeve would be my first choice on this and I'm hoping the release goes well, some IP bundles would be great, if this release was nailed to perfection IP could get a new peak or is that wishful thinking from me.

^^ I think a new peak would be a tall order, unless they chucked out special edition CD and cassettes along with the vinyl, it’s also being released in late October so will have competition from all the albums being released for the final quarter.

 

I do think it will sell well though, and if availability and the variants are good then I wouldn’t be surprised at it making the Top 20/25.

Anything is a bonus really new peak is just wishful thinking from me.Hopefully they will give us a sales update the week it charts, another tall order but it would be great if IP could finally make gold.

I don't see how we can conclude this? Releasing this on vinyl doesn't stop her working on new material and/or releasing it. She's not re-recording Impossible Princess and doesn't need any involvement in its vinyl release away from promoting it on her socials.

Exactly kylie herself wont have a big workload on the back of the vinyl release. As for a new album I was never expecting one this year.

I don’t think we’ll get a new Q4 album (but not because of this release) - vinyl re-issues of Light Years, Fever, KM94 etc., haven’t impacted any new releases.

 

Also we don’t know yet, this reissue could be really limited and be gone on a week.

I would greatly welcome Kylie promoting the release of the vinyl and perform a song from the album on a TV show in addition to promoting on social media.

They could also offer bundle deals if you choose to buy the different colours available of the vinyl.
