Harry Styles’ label could have ceased this opportunity of low album sales and discounted Fine Line to £3.99 to finally snatch that U.K. number one. The album feels much bigger than its number 3 peak...

I’ve literally thought this most weeks - such an incredible album too.

However fair play to them for not being that bothered about being #1 and maintaining the physicals at the premium price which has resulted in the vinyl being a consistent seller, I’m sure the return on shifting £20 vinyls is greater than slashing album/download prices for a #1.

Please can he sneak the #1 at some point!!!

I can never understand this logic of yours about the company and artist profits etc. etc.

Let me draw it for you:

If you discount album then you end up selling more copies = still profitable per copies sold.

3k at regular price VS 6k discounted but end up at #1 for a week wouldn't bankrupt companies nor artist!!!

Do your math!!!

Plus artists rarely make much from album sales it’s all in the tours/merch and brand deals.

Thanks as ever for your sarcastic response.

I guess it’s more about the record company/artist allowing the quality of the music speak for itself without the need to slash prices and create demand for a 1 week reduction which leads to a slump as casuals picked up the album for a bargain already. Artists are brands at the end of the day and constant reductions are damaging. I’m also not convinced that a price reduction leads to a 50% sales increase of paid for sales?

But of course, that’s just my opinion on a forum where we talk about sales, stats etc., which seems to be a touchy subject for you.

Even less if they sell new releases for half price.

I hope Ava can climb over the coming weeks now she’s finally made top 40 (and is climbing this week) I hope she can become one of those long running tracks what peak between 21-40. (I mean I’d rather it be top ten but keeping expectations realistic).

I just know that in future when us Dua fans will be boasting about her 10 weeks at number one there will be the anti-Duas who will point out this record to discredit her success.

All you f**king w***rs who didnt want Two Lips to be #1 suck my d!!!

5OSO didnt f**king deserve it again,, PATHETIC just like all you Dr. Lipa haters!!!

Is there any reason why Ed Sheeran’s collab album is now back in the top 10 ?

It's already top 10 and has been for the past 5 weeks. Only 2 weeks out of the top 10 since it debuted

Jesus Christ Charli XCX’s new record, ‘how i’m feeling now’ is an absolute MASTERPIECE. Her magnum opus.

Personal highlights: Anthems, Party 4 U, the bulldozing album-opener Pink Diamond and of course the two singles Claws and Forever. What a ride listening to it was... VROOM VROOM indeed.
