He never will. Arguably the worst signing in the club's history. Yes we've signed objectively worse players (Bebe, Manucho etc.) but when factoring in the transfer fee no one else comes close.

Didn't the President of Shaktar just accept the offer when it came in at the time? Pretty sure I have read that they just came up with a figure expecting Man Utd to negotiate and and Man Utd just paid the asking price. Sometimes players just don't settle. I think there is a player in Fred still but he's never have the consistency.

Another defeat for Tottenham, this time losing 3-0 to Brighton and it looks like Hugo Lloris might have broken his arm.

I've not heard about that but wouldn't be surprised at all if that's what went down, sounds very feasible with us these days.

Spurs are probably the only team in the league I'd have some confidence in beating right now, they really are in a complete mess. But see the signs had been there since the start of 2019, they had a dismal second half to last season which was masked by the phenomenal CL run. Something ain't right at all behind the scenes. That's awful for Lloris though.

I am absolutely buzzing from todays game :yahoo: what a result 😮 Tottenham were awful but I did feel sorry for Lloris, that was a nasty injury..was one of the best performances I’ve seen this season and we finally won a home game 🙂
Norwich that was worrying that performance against Villa although they had a injury-but squad. Certainly didn't see Villa winning 5-1. It seems that beating Man City appears to have had a negative effect on them. Three defeats in a row since that win including a right hammering at home today from Villa.
Well that was Spurs worst performance since...Tuesday. Great performance from Brighton their first win against Tottenham for 36 years.
VAR playing a part in the West Ham v Crystal Palace game with the winning goal.

Once again another lacklustre performance from Everton. I do wonder again what their ambitions are. Silva I wonder how long he has left.

That some miss from Andre Gray for Watford against Sheffield United. Watford still without a win.

It seemed to be destined to be either a great time to play Tottenham after their midweek thumping or a time to be on the receiving end of a backlash. I'm delighted that it was the former :D

Leicester played some ok stuff, but Liverpool absolutely trounced them all over the park. I agree the penalty was a little bit soft, but if you do something stupid like that in the box you're always going to be putting yourself at risk.

Some mad results yesterday - I did not see Villa hammering Norwich at all. Norwich have been so good at home. I thought Brighton were absolutely fantastic against Spurs, they were better in every single area across the pitch. Feel with this current team they will be inconsistent and it's more of a project than instant success, but they were brilliant yesterday.

Graham Potter what a signing. Delighted they got such a big win as felt they'd been unlucky. It's going to be really interesting towards the bottom this season. A shame Norwich are so injury hit as that squad has so much potential, but currently weaker than they were last season.

Totally agree, the bottom looks hard to call right now and there are no obvious whipping boys as I would expect Watford to improve after the international break.

What you make of young Connolly!

Judging by MOTD, he had a great game yesterday. Let's hope that is a sign of things to come. Interesting to see that he was the first Irish teenager to score two goals in a Premier League game since 1999, i.e. before he was born.

Yes true.. We have been on the receiving end a fair few times so was about time it was the other way round!

I think he potentially could be a great player and an important one throughout the season for us.. he has played really well so far and was really unlucky not to get a goal against Newcastle.. Happy he got two goals and motm yesterday.. hopefully he can keep it up!

We could play until midnight tonight against their 5 a side team and still not score.

Finally get to experience a relegation scrap!
