Laporte and ederson won't be out forever!

Laporte will be a big plus for them when he comes back, but he won't be back until January I don't think. Sane is pretty much out for the season, sure he might be back in March/April time but there is no way he is anywhere near the level Guardiola would expect of his players to be a major influence.

Well now! International break so that part isn't surprising but quite late into it guess.

Just another case of no matter if you do great for 3-4 years it only takes a few months to get the boot...

Mourinho fave to take over  Please make it happen!

It's shocking imo, the international break is a great plan but the players start training again today/tomorrow so the timing is pretty bizarre. If it was a week ago or even 10 days ago straight after their last game I could understand it.

Must have someone lined up, the papers were briefed this morning about Nagglesman. Could have legs to it.

I'm quite surprised Pochettino has been sacked now, Tottenham have been in bad form recently but I thought they would wait until near Christmas at the earliest to do this. He will never be forgotten there despite not winning any trophies, he has massively improved Tottenham over the years getting them to the Champions League final and there was that season when they pushed Chelsea for the title and won almost every home game.
Looks like they are getting Mourinho in too  Can't see the press being totally wrong, too many good sources all running with the same story unless it's a total smokescreen.
I wonder if they'll find anyone better than Poch for the Spurs job.

Mourinho confirmed as the new Tottenham manager. Oh blimey.

So that's a no then...

From the outset it makes sense! Spurs don't care about "building" anymore, they know they must win a trophy with the current generation else it could be another 20+ years before they even contend. Jose is the best guy out there to win a random cup or something just to shut all the naysayers up. Also, the likes of Kane & Eriksen are more likely to stay now.

Having said that, unless Levy's suddenly got a zillion pounds to spend it doesn't make much rational sense. Does anyone honestly think José will be content working on a shoe-string budget? He'll also throw players under the bus (as well as park one every game :basil:) which Poch would never dare do. At least he has his dream CB now I suppose...

It's gonna be very interesting to see how Tottenham do under Jose Mourinho, They'll be travelling to Old Trafford on December 4th so the homecoming for Mourinho is very near. No Doubt if Tottenham win that match Mourinho will go over the top in his celebrations.

Tottenham v Chelsea would be an interesting match.... Mourinho v Lampard.

Did anyone see Mourinho going to Tottenham? This to me felt like a wtf appointment.

I reckon he definitely would have gone to Arsenal if Unai Emery was sacked instead of Pochettino.
'I would not take the job because I love Chelsea supporters too much.'

How times has changed now.....

But at every club he's ever gone to he's been backed to the hills and spent zillions of money. I just can't see that at Spurs and what can they win this year? Champions League? Not sure you can polish a turd that much, but you never know. I guess there is always the FA Cup. They have a very, very slim chance of finishing in the Top 4 this year.

Just seems like a total souless move, Eriksen is already gone and hated by Spurs fans. And I'm not sure Alderwierld and Vertonghen will sign new contracts and if they did they would be long term and massively over egged on the salary.
