Since their return in 2018, Doves have been working on their long-awaited 5th album - the first since 2009's 'Kingdom of Rust'. And it looks like it's not too far away now!

A countdown to 5pm on Thursday (I think ) is on their website, hopefully that will be the release of the lead single!

Indeed 'There Goes The Fear' is one of my favourite songs of the noughties! Imagine a indie song like that charting in the top 3 in 2020!
There Goes The Fear and Pounding are both fantastic songs. It's great to see Doves are coming back.

It was crazy how well There goes the Fear did

cos iirc it was only available for 1 day, it was released and deleted the same day, not sure why :D

What a great comeback, sounds kind of like drum and base in places or something Massive Attack would do.

There Goes The Fear sounds even better live. One of the best live songs I've heard.

The new song sounds pretty good too. Look forward to hearing more.

Weird to think the last time they dropped new music was around when I first joined BuzzJack!

I'm not familiar with their back catalogue but I remember liking 'Kingdom Of Rust' (the song) a fair bit at the time, this new song is quality as well, so nice to have them back.

This is very typical for them but I really like it, definitely a welcome return.

A couple of plays in and I think I probably prefer it to Carousels already actually.

3. Broken Eyes

4. For Tomorrow

5. Cathedrals of the Mind

Sounds as epic as the first release, roll on the album in the autumn!
