I found 'Me Against The Music' underwhelming for YEARS but randomly had an epiphany with it about a year ago :lol: those verses are FIRE :wub:

I'm glad Britney and Madonna checked if I was ready.

Me Against the Music is brilliant! My least favourite of the three main singles but to be fair, it's got some very stiff competition.

Quite an underwhelming collaboration for two of the BIGGEST names in pop. The video is iconic but the song itself is not a huge favourite D:

I like "Me Against The Music" and the music video is amazing, but it's not one of my choices of being a single after the songs that were in the album.

Kicking off with a huge collab between the biggest females in pop at the time. I understand how it may be seen as a disappointment, but I find it infectious and catchy and the production is incredible. So slick and Britney's flow and execution! *.*

Yes! I don't understand the "dated" comments I've seen floating around. I think it's aged beautifully!

Track 2: (I Got That) Boom Boom (feat. Ying Yang Twins)

 

This is actually sounding better than I remember tonight. I think I'm enjoying the flow of the verses better and it's quite well produced. I think it might not get so much flack if Madonna wasn't on it :unsure: the expectations wouldn't be so high!

I found '(I Got That) Boom Boom' terrible on first listen but it's grown on me enough to just be not so great now :lol: glad it wasn't a single in the end!

I like elements of this, the chorus is good! As a full package it's not completely essential though.

"(I Got That) Boom Boom" is fire. This is closest track she did to cater a new audience and I think it would have done great if it was pushed in the US with a radio edit. I doubt it would have done anything overseas though. Also, her performances of the song were good too.

(I Got That) Boom Boom really comes alive in the chorus. Love the bhangra infused instrumental

This song is insanely catchy! The Ying Yang Twins can be quite annoying, but the song is so good and irresistably catchy. The production throughout this album is incredible. I love the soft percussion meets gritty R&B-pop vibes of it all!

They shoulda made that the single instead of trying to push Outrageous, imo.
