July 15, 20205 yr Author 9 7.58 If You Come to Me Thank you baby: 10 - Hide&Seek, Scene, Chemistry, Rossco, Sarah, WinterFreeze, Lukuzz I wouldn't wanna be ya: 4 - ElectroBoy, Tombo All three Ladies Night singles fall out one after the other! If You Come to Me was released as the lead single, peaking at #3, in turn becoming the final Atomic Kitten single to reach the top 5. Though it didn't receive any scores of 11, it did receive a whole host of 10s, coming out as Buzzjack's favourite Ladies Night single. mpIsPjiIXNk
July 15, 20205 yr Ladies Night has always been a bit of a 'meh' release for me. It surely is a fun cover, but nothing really special. Same for me, it's more a skip than play single for me.
July 15, 20205 yr However thanks to X-Mas sales this managed to outsell the lead single which sold around 60k, & 'LN' sold about 84k, despite the lead having a much higher peak. Sales totals from September 2009: 84,192 - Ladies Night 78,392 - If You Come To Me Glad to see If You Come to Me as the top performing Ladies Night single in the rate! While it was a safe and typical sort of song for them to release, nevertheless it’s a lovely song.
July 15, 20205 yr Author 8 7.65 Right Now Thank you baby: 10 - Hide&Seek, Scene, Chemistry, Rossco, Sarah, WinterFreeze, Lukuzz I wouldn't wanna be ya: 4 - ElectroBoy, Tombo The very first Atomic Kitten single drops out here in 8th place. Right Now peaked at #10 in the charts, managing reasonable longevity despite its seemingly disappointing peak! Right Now set the tone for the first era and became the title track for the first era, later re-recorded with Jenny's vocals after Kerry left the group. It's the highest placed song in the rate not to have received anyone's 11! Yynstc_bFRE
July 15, 20205 yr If You Come To Me is so good. I had no idea it's total sales were as low as that though  Sales were really abysmal around that time it seems!

July 15, 20205 yr Jay do you have anymore sales info for the other singles ? Unfortunately this list is mostly very out of date (September 2009), but here we go! 1,200,000+ - Whole Again [20th March 2020] 600,000+ - The Tide Is High (Get The Feeling) [19th June 2020] {446,802 in September 2009} 412,501 - Eternal Flame 218,346 - It's OK! 182,695 - The Last Goodbye / Be With You 112,539 - Right Now 86,773 - See Ya 84,192 - Ladies Night 78,392 - If You Come To Me 65,211 - I Want Your Love 61,239 - Love Doesn't Have To Hurt 48,519 - Someone Like Me / Right Now 2004 41,628 - Follow Me 27,349 - Cradle 2005 The Tide Is High does very well on streaming! In May 2019 it had sold around 550,000 in total, so it increased by 50k+ in a little over a year. The Tide Is High has significantly more streams on Spotify (83.6m) than Whole Again (66.2m!) [worldwide streams]. The Last Goodbye/Be With You still not silver. :( Sadly neither song has many streams - both have done around 2 million streams worldwide on Spotify.
July 15, 20205 yr Someone Like Me - A simple yet beautiful sparse piano ballad, which maybe a little too simple & just felt like they were going through the motions by this point. However looking at the 'Ladies Night' album itself, this tracks is certainly one of the best, which isn't saying much as out of the 15 tracks on there, only the singles were worth listening too. If You Come To Me - A fine piece of pop fluff that plays it way too safe by following the exact same formula as their previous hits with a lack of creativity & no progression. Harmless enough though, despite the lame music video. Right Now - A great introduction to the group, which bounces along quite nicely & strong & catchy enough to hold its own against some of their bigger hits. Really loved this at the time, back when Atomic Kitten knew how to have fun, before turning into a female Westlife band.
July 15, 20205 yr Thanks Jay Who would of thought that Tide Is High was the biggest steaming hit!! Didn’t expect See Ya to be that high in terms of sales either. To think The Tide is High was the hit for Billie that never was because she had enough of the music industry. Edited July 15, 20205 yr by vibe
July 16, 20205 yr Someone Like Me is a nice, harmless song, but nothing too special for me. I ADORE If You Come To Me, it's maybe not the most original song, but I have always loved it ever since it came out. Should have been higher! Also suprised to see the rather low sales, sales were very sad-looking back then. Right Now is good product of it's time, but not one I listen to very much these days. Who would of thought that Tide Is High was the biggest steaming hit!! I have always been very surprised how this gets way more streams compared to Whole Again, as I always thought Whole Again was their signature song. Just like Pure Shores has way more streams compared to Never Ever for All Saints.
July 16, 20205 yr Author 7 7.94 You Are Thank you baby: 11 - Tawdry Hepburn, Rossco, JosephStyles I wouldn't wanna be ya: 3 - Tombo Intended as the final single from Right Now, You Are saw a release in certain territories around the world. Its intended UK release was scrapped despite a new single mix being recorded which, much like Someone Like Me later down the line, saw the vocals shared out instead of being performed by one member (Natasha in this case). The single mix also saw improved production! You Are still managed to chart at #90 in the UK off the back of imports, suggesting the demand in the UK was absolutely there. A missed opportunity but I'm glad it's finished in a respectable position here! 5u-N_EtVESQ
July 16, 20205 yr Author 6 8.08 Eternal Flame Thank you baby: 11 - WinterFreeze I wouldn't wanna be ya: 3 - gavindeejay, Mullo We move into the averages of 8 and above now as the girls' second #1 single drops out. Eternal Flame was the first cover version they released, as well as the first proper single campaign with Jenny. It became their second of three #1 singles and launched the re-issue of Right Now. aztY_fpjJeQ
July 16, 20205 yr You Are should've been top 3 tbh. But it's amazing how known it is for a song that only charted on imports! Eternal Flame is a cute cover! But I was a bit :') that they released a 2nd cover on the trot!

But I was a bit :') that they released a 2nd cover on the trot! They didn't release consecutive covers at any point! :o Thinking about it though, they released 3 actual covers, plus 2 with notable samples, and then they basically covered themselves for their final 2 singles
July 16, 20205 yr They didn't release consecutive covers at any point! :o Thinking about it though, they released 3 actual covers, plus 2 with notable samples, and then they basically covered themselves for their final 2 singles :lol:Wait didn't this follow 'The Tide Is High'!? --- EDIT: Nope. :') I was probably just amused that both that and TTIH were both number 1's then. I could have sworn I remembered them being released one after the other!! Lmao
July 16, 20205 yr Author Wait didn't this follow 'The Tide Is High'!? Eternal Flame followed Whole Again! Whole Again (single 5 from Right Now) Eternal Flame (single 6 from Right Now, single 1 from the re-issue) You Are (single 6 from Right Now, single 2 from the re-issue) It's OK!
