I like the production on the remix but I don't think it works with the song itself. It just feels a bit disjointed to me.

As remixes go it's alright, the original remains the best by far.

Well it broke the iTunes top 20 for the day so did its job

Been streaming this a lot today - really enjoying the remix, would sound brilliant if the clubs were properly open!

Remixes are there to introduce new audiences to the song. This Syn Cole remix adds a dance/club element. It's fresh and plays really well on the headphones

#22 & #79 on iTunes now - great that the remix gave it a 3rd stint in the Top 20 though, with vinyls still available hopefully she will have shifted enough for a new peak when it’s released.

I have no doubt they are ‘going for it’ however even in the few years since ‘Dancing’ the charts have changed a lot - a recent example was Dermot Kennedy releasing vinyls for his new single, it was placed high on streaming, added as the first song on his album, had promo and was reduced to 59p on iTunes and it climbed to #52... it took a £1.99 CD signed single with free postage for it to make the Top 40 this week.

 

I hope she gets Top 40 but it’s not going to be as easy as it sounds.

A Top 40 will be very hard to achieve but I welcome them making an attempt to do it.

To me it feels like Say Something has become a lead single like Word Is Out and Into The Blue: nobody really loves or hates it. Does anybody outside of Kylie's fanbase even care about this song?

Really? The reactions I've seen have been largely really strong.

Never said it would be easy. But a top 40 is what they are going for and only BMG know what they have in store.

 

10,000 sales probably needed

2000 digital bundle 99p

1000 iTunes sales 59p

5000 streaming?

 

Who knows...... maybe they have another physical coming too.
