5th place: Snap! - The Power

UK chart run: 12-1-1-2-3-4-7-10-13-17-30-37-47-71-62 (15 weeks)

It was a tight race last time around but it's Snap! who just lost out as The Power gained 9 votes to be eliminated, just one ahead of Beats International. The Power was the first hit for the dance group and quickly shot to #1 in 1990, becoming one of the UK's first dance chart toppers. The group had some really good success throughout their first three albums, managing to get a number of top 10 hits from each one. They also showed a real sense of diversity in their approach taking in quite a few dance styles along the way, certainly the trance/techno elements in their third album were miles away from the sound of their debut and were pretty progressive for their time. Their success in 1990 was pretty unrivalled for a dance act as this number one was followed by Ooops Up, Cult Of Snap and Mary Had a Little Boy into the top 10 - although they would of course become best know for their huge hit in 1992, Rhythm Is A Dancer.

So who will go next? Time to find out...

I'm voting for Sinéad this time too. I listened to them all again last week and, whilst good, I definitely preferred the others left. Dub Be Good To Me was better than I remembered it being this time around.

NO! (at that result). You done Phil The Power Taylor dirty :nocheer:

YES! at kicking out Sinead next.

Went for Beats International this time.

Can't believe Sinead is being voted out, probably one of the most iconic songs of the decade 😐

Vogue sounds dated and boring in 2020. :angel
out of the 4 left, Sinead is the best and Beats International the worst

Killer.

I find Vogue and NC2U to be 90's classics. Dub Be Good To Me has been a great rediscovery from this survivor.

Still don't understand why Saviours Day didn't make it on here

Because it wasn't one of the 10 best selling songs of the year? I don't think it was close to being top 10 in the end of year if I remember correctly.
