The physical sales won't count in the UK until the release date, which is Friday 7th August - but this will go towards the Friday 14th August chart, which'll be the album's third week in the chart. It might work differently in the US, but then again I thought they had recently announced a rule change to discourage it - maybe it's not implemented yet?

oh damn that's disappointing aha, I thought it'd count first week :( The US rule changes don't go into effect until august so hopefully that means its fine there then!

I think we’re potentially looking at week 3 being the albums peak sales week then and potentially Taylor’s first album in the UK to get more than one week at #1?
