August 14, 20204 yr CALUM LITERALLY DECIDED THE WINNER! :') Rachel getting the win woulda been *.* for several reasons, but mainly for the fact it would have given us a 9th unique winner! I'm so honoured that Kelly is the first double champ in this :wub: I was honestly expecting bottom 5 for Kelly for some reason, but this was a wonderful surprise! I assumed it'd be a bit too MOR-power pop/rock ballady for casuals. So pleased with that result for Ghetto Boy too :wub: Greyson did NOT deserve last this round. :( But an extremely fantastic result for Maren!
August 14, 20204 yr Well done Kelly! :heart: I was keeping my fingers crossed for Rachel Stevens being a dark horse winner though and to continue the streak of unique winners! Great to see Maren doing so well in this round! I have to admit it's the first song by her that's piqued my interest, seems that might be the case for a few other people too?

August 14, 20204 yr I meant more in terms of how close it was to winning, pretty sure 'Super Natural' and 'Gimmie Love' were both a bit more than 2 votes off 1st place but I may be wrong! (you're probably right that it was better suited to this round but I'm taking this as vindication for myself regardless :kink:)
August 15, 20204 yr Very pleased with how Empire Ants did actually, not just the score but I saw some nice comments about it so I'm pleased.
August 15, 20204 yr Nice to see Kim and Tinashe not too low at least! Impressive for Kelly to win without even picking 'Already Gone', and it looks like the long-awaited return of Rachel Stevens has paid off compared to how S Club 7's album tracks have done. I'm surprised that Maren song was the one to strike a chord. Some synchronicity for Janet and Mariah both picking songs from their latest albums and landing towards the bottom. I think someone had mentioned that the downtempo round was one of the added ones, but I'm surprised they weren't part of the original plan as they feel like 2 of the most obvious themes! (as ballads had been done in the previous AF Idol and it's something that works for almost all of the artists regardless of if they have hits or not or many albums or none) Also I must say I'd been expecting a free choice round each time since round 7 :kink: My guess since rounds 1 and 4 were free choice was that 7 and 10 would be too (to be evenly spaced out and because it's probably hard to come up with a lot of different themes that could work).
