I'm certain I've seen this exact poll on here recently but maybe it's false deja vu. My sentiments remain the same though, pretty much every Oasis single beats Blur's with this notable exception. I've never particularly liked Roll With It whereas Country House is one of my fave Blur songs.
Well Blur are still around (kinda) and Oasis probably will never be again :P

I don't think anyone can claim that Blur were more successful than Oasis in the long run though :D

but they're not claiming that, they're just saying Blur lasted longer
Blue had two cds and this is why they won.

Prefer Blur, their song was actually about something.

Noel often said he didn't have a clue what his own songs were about which is why i think they were overrated, Blur's dig back "Oasis Quo" fits 'Roll with it' perfectly.

Ultimately it was a huge novelty to have two british guitar bands battle it out for number one & if it made record companies sign more bands for a slice of the action then it was good for music :)

Country House is Blur's third most iconic song after Songs 2 and Girls & Boys.

At the time I preferred 'Country House' but now I find the track very annoying. Out of choice I now wouldn't listen to either as I think they both aren't that good but at least if 'Roll With It' came on radio X I wouldn't switch the station off which I've had to do when 'Country House' is played.

I always found it interesting that 'Country House' features the words "morning glory" which formed part of the title of Oasis' album. It was a total coincidence.

What's the iconic song from Brit Pop Mark 2 then?

I Predict A Riot?

She Moves In Her Own Way

Chasing Cars

Take Me Out

never ever heard of Brit Pop Mark 2
