I've listened to this a couple of times, it bores me rigid.

I hear bits of Pat Benatar - Love Is A Battlefield in the song.

 

Most of these synthwave hits this year remind me of Love Is A Battlefield; Blinding Lights, Break Up Song AND this, they all have a similar style beat to it. Midnight Sky is more like Laura Brannigan - Self Control with some Steve Nicks Edge of Seventeen influence too.

I like this! It’s very Blinding Lights, but no one seemed to care when Little Mix did it!

not a bad start considering its complete lack of spotify support (big shame on them) - doing well on iTunes and reasonably on AM at least so should still be a hit.

I've listened to it a couple times so far and i'm still not really crazy about this. It's nice and I like it but it's not my top 10 of the year.

I'm a bit surprised this has ended up at #53 with only 1 day in the Spotify top 200. I was expecting mid 70s to be honest.

The actual song is ok but Sia's vocals are really just not up to snuff here - they're not as dreadful as they were on 'Together' at least though. Might be a grower if I can look past the dodgy vocals but it's an eh on first impression.

 

People saying that it sounds more like 'that's love' really weren't kidding!

Sia's voice sound very old and strange in this song, that could explain why this is flopping. -_-
