The very same song that is played at the start of the music video? I have zero idea what you two have to gain by convincing yourselves that Ellie morphed one of her old tracks into her new feat. She even talked about the lyrics recently: “When I wrote the song, I was thinking about a time where I broke up with someone and I felt like I had truly become myself.” Note how that’s totally different from her talking about Electricity when she said it was “about a friend who had been cheated on quite cruelly for a couple of years”. It doesn't mean she sings about her friend but more likely about her/his relationship with somebody that inspired her to write a song. whatever. let the ELECTRICITY leak so we can finally find out what was scrapped from the album. there's nothing more irritating than leaking snippets. why would you need them tho. February 10, 20214 yr I agree that it's a coincidence that Ellie has an unreleased song called "Electricity" and she says that word on "New Love". I really doubt that they were meant to be the same.
