Bit off topic but who on Earth is Matt Nash, and why is he at the top of my Release Radar despite me never having listened to a song of his in my life?

 

On a somewhat unrelated note I wish Spotify would sort out both artists having the same name... I get the weirdest things in my Release Radar like what I’m assuming is a band titled Brandy (I like the R&B singer), and sooooo many different JoJo’s. And weird unofficial releases. It makes me not even bother listening to it most of the time lol, I feel like it should be so easy for them to sort this kind of thing out

Royal Blood up to #73 on Apple. Hopefully they will also do well on Spotify.

I sincerely hope this Tory Lanez album is only attracting curiosity streams and will sink into irrelevance at record speed. Him going completely silent and then breaking his silence by releasing an album has to be one of the most brazen dickhead moves I've ever seen (even if he is innocent, which I absolutely don't believe for a second).

 

In less contentious news, Travis Scott is really off to a much more lacklustre start than I expected on Apple. He'll do better on Spotify as he always does but probably not going to be a major hit at this rate. Da Beatfreakz now have the highest new entry at #49 with MoStack at #52 and Travis at #56.

for some reason Travis always does a lot better on Spotify than Apple so I wouldn't take that as an indication of him underperforming, I imagine he'll go top 10 on Spotify today.
