Posted September 12, 20204 yr For our 50th Dance Vocalist, we turn to Demi Lovato whose just had a new release this week with producer Marshmello. She had a flurry of dance hits a couple of years back, but hasn’t got a high back catalogue of dance features to her name as a pop star. She has though recorded for some big names and proves that her voice is still very recordable and that there are still plenty of opportunities for her in the future. Here’s a small selection of her songs; All Night Long (with Timbaland & Missy Elliott) js0moD0CIRQ No Promises (with Cheat Codes) jn40gqhxoSY Instruction (with Jax Jones & Stefflon Don) MQXLpSl26q4 Solo (with Clean Bandit) 8JnfIa84TnU OK To Not Be Ok (with Marshmello) wAPlzt2L7wE Which of her current dance features is your favourite? Which dance producers would you like to see her feature with in the future? I’ve gone for her hit with Cheat Codes from 2018, her only UK #1 to date. It was a good song from the year and stands out more so than the rest of the songs here, though they are all quite good. I want to add that I’ve been impressed with her latest release too with Marshmello. 1. Solo (with Clean Bandit) 2. Instruction (with Jax Jones & Stefflon Don) 3. OK To Not Be Ok (with Marshmello) 4. No Promises (with Cheat Codes) 5. All Night Long (with Timbaland & Missy Elliott) I’d like to see her record for David Guetta and perhaps also Kygo one day. September 12, 20204 yr Author Solo... with Cheat Codes? Thank you, will get one of the mods to fix.
September 12, 20204 yr Demi Lovato has a surprisingly solid hit ratio for her dance collabs. Instruction is my favourite Jax song full stop. Solo and No Promises are also top tier. The Marshmello collab is decent but needs some time to grow and I've not heard the Timbaland one!
September 13, 20204 yr Easily Solo from those. No Promises is the only other one I don't mind. Shout out to Neon Lights which destroys all of the above but isn't eligible here.
