I think it’s more of BMG’s marketing strategy rather than them being ‘so worried’ about who would overshadow - it’s obviously something that works for them in getting album attention as they do it with all their acts (Kylie, McFly, Steps, Rick Astley etc.,).

 

Totally no need for it this time though - I think Kylie would have performed exactly the same and had all her sales in 1 week.

Pleasantly surprised by the video....I think they’ve done a much better job than SS.

 

The effects are used much better.

 

Only criticism is the outfits drown her and make her look heavy especially the hooded cloak.

Can I just ask a quick question as I always get confused reading rules.

 

When the album comes out and streaming is it the two most streamed tracks that do not count in the streaming numbers. But instead those tracks will count as streaming for singles purposes?

 

So if Say Something was the most streamed in week one off the album then all those streams would be added to Vinyl preorders etc and count towards singles chart only?

No I don’t think so. The top 2 tracks just get down weighted to the average of the next 10 I think?

Yeah, the instrumental didn't really do it for me at first coz I was expecting a bit more EDM-inspired.

 

I also appreciate that they didn't edit her voice too much.
