I'm a kylie fan since the 80s and buy her releases but not all the formats, the cd and vinyl I do buy. I couldn't afford to buying every format etc as it can be costly plus if I did my wife would divorce me, the older fans may have more disposable income but there is many things to spend it on.

Cineworld closing until next year, not sure what that means for Little Mix live streaming event?

It won’t affect the album sales at all i imagine. It wasn’t even announced yet so it will probably just be released a different way now.

Maybe they were going to have pop up stalls selling the album or maybe buy a ticket and buy the album for a discount?

There were not doing it for no reason 🤣

It would have been promo - I don’t think they were thinking of releasing a film to cinemas in order to have a pop up stall there.

Kylie fans sure are older

but it's not like Little Mix fans are 7-12 year old either... L Mix have been going on for nearly 10 years now, sure the early days fans

are not in the 20-30s age group

Just Kylie's Disco is coming up for me first

As opposed to... them having Amazon advertise for them for free?

Kylie has discounted her album on Itunes and The Search has been postponed (lost one week before the album) so I'm really thinking it's a no brainer by now that Kylie will get it.

The Search will not be broadcast this Saturday (17th Oct) and the live shows will instead begin on the 24th Oct; so it hasn't lost "one week before the album" like you suggested.

Well it technically has - there are 3(?) live shows, so it not airing this weekend has lost them some 'promo' from The Search prior to the album's release (as the last show will now air post-release if all goes to plan).

Not that 1.5m viewers a week is going to make a massive dent in sales anyway.

Yes but you implied that it wouldn’t air the week before the albums release..

I think it’s actually better to have a break this weekend and then have consecutive shows that encompass the albums release (and after it too).

Also Little Mix will definitely win this battle.

Ariana Grande has confirmed that her sixth studio album will be released this month; rumoured to be Friday 30th October.

Could the second week sales for that pose a threat for Kylie/ Little Mix.

Not for Kylie and her (presumably) extensive promo that week (Kylie goes ALL IN on release week) but possibly (depending how well received it is) for LM. Apart from The Search (the week before?) idk what else LM will have that week :/

I still dont think its going to be close and Kylie will be #1 with 55k-60k whilst Little Mix are her nearest (new) competitors with 35k-40k-ish.

We'll see though, I guess.

I very much doubt Ariana 2nd week would be a threat considering it'll be mostly streaming equivalent sales,

she'll still have a very healthy figure but Kylie and LM fans buying actual albums that week will see them ahead.
