September 26, 20204 yr Heard quite a few songs in my semi. Quintessa's song appeared on Eledan's national finals and not a bad choice from Numayania. Oslol's appeared on PJSC and I did actually follow PJSC to find some gems, and LOVE SUX is to be honest one of the best songs in that edition! Botanikka and Taahino all appeared on my chart, so they are also really nice songs! Niceland of course not bad either!
September 26, 20204 yr I feel truly honoured to be immediately following 'Soph Aspin Send' in the semi tbh, and also only a few songs away from 'You Suffer'. :cheeseblock: I almost had half a mind to send Hatari myself at some point but I did think they'd be a little too uninspired for the Persephonia 'brand' (I say having sent Fatoumata Diawara last month) - I imagine there won't be that many people who have heard 'Klámstrákur' though so I'm happy to see it here to reach a wider audience as it is an absolute stormer *.* Semi 2 is actually pretty packed with songs that I already know and like so could be a great semi if the discoveries are up to par with the ones I know already. Sending my best wishes to Terra Avium in the other semi as this is another good tune from Amnesia Scanner, definitely is a potentially risky one but let's hope it does pay off. Cool to see yeule finally showing up in BJSC as well, I confirmed another song from her in one of the contests last year although ended up switching mid-contest. (also @ Dan, Pendulum is indeed Dobago's 50th anniversary entry [/late])
September 26, 20204 yr Author It's happened at least twice, both pretty recently - Aesthetica in BJSC 116 (if you count them as being the host of that final, kind of tenuous considering they only had the laptop capabilities to open the thread and it was Leww who did all the actual hosting work lol) and... République d'Áskorza themselves in BJSC 124 when you were our designated emergency host of that month :ph34r: I believe those are the only times and both are a little ambiguous due to them both involving emergency hosts. Poor Berlin :cry: Sure it’ll happen again during another one of our emergency hostings

September 26, 20204 yr don't know much from my own semi, only heard Little Jinder from the last UP and vera blue from that flume song. and kiesza too I guess. and hendinia sending another bop! (though not my fav rico song) I think I can see most retro-leaning countries in my semi which is a boon, tho I'd love for suede to be there too!
September 26, 20204 yr Oh yes I forgot to comment that I am ofc proud to see former Persephonia flopstar Rico Nasty turning up again. (Hendinia recycling Persephonia, what universe are we in?) Hopefully she'll actually qualify this time. I do think 'IPHONE' is much more suited to BJSC tastes than 'Roof' tbf!
