"Dancing with the Devil" is really good. I think it's one of my favourite songs Demi has released since "Cool for the Summer" so far. The production is very orchestral, reminding me to "Skyfall" at some point.
I’m loving this so far actually! Very surprised at how much i’m enjoying it considering i haven’t been a huge fan of any of her recent singles! Cant wait for the album now

Really don’t like this at all, her voice just doesn’t sound good at all.

I agree it’s very skyfall, it’s not been added to TTH and it’s very low on NMF, I’m guessing the Ariana track will be pushed shortly!

Not keen on this, I appreciate the lyrical nature and the more contemporary production rather than your typical piano-led ballad take. But it does feel like we've heard this before from her and it's been done better (Sober), plus her voice isn't pleasant when she's really hitting those top notes. I've been struggling to enjoy Demi's music for a while now, doesn't feel like she's been able to carve out an identity musically so she ends up being quite hit an miss for me :(

This sounds harsh but her constantly referencing her personal struggles in her music is really off putting and exhausting. I know it's probably Scooter (ugh) pushing things but with the documentary as well and the social media posts constantly going into (graphic) detail about what she's been through it just feels like exploitation and is very uncomfortable to observe. I'm all for supporting artists who can open up and write about their experiences to help others but this is just coming off as tacky and awkward.

The sad thing is that she is capable of serving great music at times and ever since she's been attached to Scooter her output has been really, really bad. :(

This all feels very self indulgent with no real hook/melody. Melon Cake especially is AWFUL.

I really like the Ariana collab though!

This is a solid album, but definitely has a few filler moments that could have been left out to make for a tighter listen.

I think it's only natural too that her first album following her overdose and other personal struggles is very much focused on her wellbeing and self-love? Yeah it's taken a while for us to get to the album with a lot of roundabout releases in between, but it's great to see how far she's come.

Ranking after first couple of listens:

1. Easy (with Noah Cyrus)

2. Lonely People

3. California Sober

4. Dancing With the Devil

5. What Other People Say (with Sam Fischer)

6. The Art of Starting Over

7. Good Place

8. Mad World

9. 15 Minutes

10. Met Him Last Night (feat. Ariana Grande)

11. Carefully

12. Melon Cake

13. My Girlfriends are My Boyfriend (feat. Saweetie)

14. The Way You Don’t Look at Me

15. Anyone

16. Butterfly

17. ICU (Madison’s Lullabye)

18. The Kind of Lover I Am

19. Intro

Honestly I think everything after Melon Cake could easily have been cut oops, but that aside Easy, Lonely People and California Sober are all amazing

Can't wait to listen! I loved the Tell Me You Love Me album and I'm Out Here Looking Like Revenge ( Best I Ever Been) (Wait A Minute!)!!!

On first listen, I think it's a pretty solid album but agree that it could benefit from being slightly shorter.

I love 'Easy' - definitely the highlight of the album for me.

This is probably her worst album, I’m not even a fan of the Ariana track
I don't have many thoughts on the album rn but maybe after a few more listens it will grow more idk but I have been watching the documentary which is pretty fantastic and I love how open she's being about what she went through but on the other hand, she tells that story very vividly in her music video for dwtd and idk how I feel about it? I know what she's trying to do, putting her story out there via her art is brave and you've got to commend her for that but theres something that doesn't quite sit right with me about showing it the way she does in the video. I'm not sure what exactly either, I just felt uncomfortable watching it which I guess is the point but I just felt she could have maybe presented it more tastefully or something (if that's even the word?) Idk it's her story to tell I suppose and she can do it in whichever way she wants to I guess, I just think of the people that have gone through similar as well.
