Next up are two of the best songs in the final. Don’t You Worry Child (I believe) was my 40pt Song and one that I think is fantastic, epic and definitely worthy of being in the top 20… the full length version is always my go to :D. The song itself drops 2 places, however remains quite consistent year on year considering its drop out of the top 20 two years ago. Its great to see such an epic dance song with fantastic drops doing so well here and hopefully it can place top 10 in the 2 years its got left on ROTD.

Kicking off the top 15 is the highest Lady Gaga song. I’ve had a bit of an odd relationship with Alejandro and initially dismissed it 10 years ago and never really returned to it. When it gained an automatic finalist position in the 2010 heat, I went on a relisten and have been obsessed with it for the last few months. In fact it gained quite a number of points from me in the final and I don’t think I have done previously. So it’s a bit annoying that this is it final year for me to finally like the song… however Alejandro surges into the top 20 this year and gains its best ranking to date The song has only reached the final 5 times in its life on ROTD and won’t be eligible next year. So it’s great to see it go out on a high and reach a new peak and be Gaga’s highest placed song this year.

Don't You Worry Child  one of the most emotional and best tracks of the peak EDM era, we'll never get another song quite like it. also a rare track of its style that certainly benefits from the Extended version.

very glad it's managed to make it this high once again.

I never would have guessed Alejandro would take over the reins as the highest Gaga song but fair play to it.

It continues to be a good year for Iceland following their real and fictional Eurovision success as rebounding into the top 20 are Of Monsters And Men. Little Talks proves itself again to be one of Buzzjack's favourite indie-pop songs and whilst it didn't make my own votes it has to be one of my faves of its type too. They never produced any other real hits in the UK but this seems to have been fondly remembered. Katy B also continues to do well with 'Crying For No Reason' spending a 6th straight year in the top 40 and only dropping a place since last year even with it now being over 4 years since she sadly vanished from music. With synthpop making a revival this year it's helped this track to age well and remains a standout of her output.

That longevity for Crying for No Reason!

I'm also shook that Alejandro is Gaga's highest this year! Its aged well tho! 10 years ago, incredible...

Two absolutely massive favourites

So pleased for both their stabilities although they should be Top 10 :arrr:

Hoping that Dancing On My Own ends its run in the top 10... please don't announce it next!

...and here's the other surprise drop you ordered – for the first time in the song's career 'Run Away With Me' is now out of the top 10. having been a former winner and in last year's top five, it appears to have lost some support this time around and falls to a still respectable 12th. it keeps its title of the biggest song here that missed the UK top 40 and the best-regarded song of 2015, which I'm sure her fans here will be pleased about. I'm not a huge fan of the track and found it rather overrated [soz] and considering the songs that are climbing into the top 10 this year it is no big loss. meanwhile impressively making a climb to 11th are Arctic Monkeys with 'Do I Wanna Know?'. the song has very much proved itself as a modern classic with it reaching a billion YouTube views and on its way to doing the same on Spotify. Buzzjack have always taken kindly to it as well and it now spends a third year in the top 20, having also won its yearly round for a second year running (and indeed it is the highest-placed 2013 song in this rundown).

Robyn top 10! ^_^

I'm happy now, it's been such a joy to watch DOMO getting more and more recognition as the decade progressed - and we were ahead of them, obvs!!!

I had voted for half of the top 20 and so far each pair has had one song I voted for and one I didn't. I'd take that continuing but may be unlikely looking at what's left that I didn't vote for.

Gutted at Arctic Monkeys just missing the top 10 (not least because that was their fate in the official chart as well) - of course #11 is really impressively high for a guitar based song with male vocals on BuzzJack but such a tease letting it fall just short of the top 10. Still seems to be getting more and more popular over time though so maybe next year ~

'Run Away With Me' is a great pop song but I've never really bought its hype fully. She has better songs. I'm sure Jason is distraught at it finishing so high x

I'm peased that Run Away nonsense is not top 10 and We Found Love is top 10. :D

10 [90] Sia = Chandelier = 572pts

(52-14-30-43-90-10-)

(2nd, 2014)

Kicking off the top 10 is Chandelier by Sia which manages to climb 80 places this year and enters the top 10 for the first time. The song has made the final round every year that its been eligible and had a previous high of 14th place, however, manages to go 4 better this year. It’s the biggest climb into the top 10 this year and is the highest placed Sia song too. I think the song still sounds great and whilst I think it became a little overplayed a few years ago, I’ve come back round to it and think it is still a bop.
