Oh finally something new from them, so strange that they were hyping up a Tom Walker collab a few months ago which never happened and now they've waited this long for another single.
The Meduza remix of Power Over Me has been on repeat all year for me, Dermot's voice is perfect for Meduza's production  HypedT.
Interesting collaboration! Guess the likes of Rag'n'Bone Man and Tom Walker have sounded good on dance tracks recently, it always seems like such massive gaps between Meduza releases. Are they gearing up for an album or is it just stand-alone singles whenever?

Is it though or is it just how he has worded that tweet

Meduza have what looks like an altered version of the cover art in their Twitter header and I'd say it's a joint credit like Lose Control

on Spotify you can presave it and it says MEDUZA x Dermot Kennedy

but funnily on twitter Meduza presented it as Meduza ft Dermot Kennedy

and on his twitter Dermot presented it as Dermot Kennedy ft Meduza

hahaha :)

but sure it's for his album re-release in a few weeks

OCC description of it:

We've had a first listen of the track prior to release, and we're pleased to report that Paradise is a perfect blend of both acts. It doesn't feel like Dermot Kennedy on a Meduza track or vice versa - Paradise is a song that seamlessly slots into both of their back catalogues, featuring the emotion of Dermot's material and bass-reverberating styling of Meduza's.

"In the fading light, hearts collide, shadows dance in the distance / something just ain't right, I'm cold inside, help me find what I'm missing," Dermot sings in the opening lines, which feel particularly poignant in these tough times.

Those lyrics set the scene for how the story progresses in the second half: "We're all scared to fly, but still we try, learn to be brave, see the other side" - this song is about not having fear in the unknown and embracing the positives when they come along.

The booming chorus features an infectious hook with Dermot singing "my my my" over moody production and layers of sonics. If you're looking to tap into the dancefloor in your head, Paradise will transport you there for sure.

Here's the iTunes snippet. It sounds AMAZING!

Time for my traditional Thursday log on to iTunes New Zealand again then :cheer:

EDIT: Heard the preview and it sounds good, the verses remind me slightly in terms of style of Lovers On The Sun by David Guetta/Sam Martin which is always a good thing.

It sounds a little disjointed to me, like Dermot's voice has been mashed with an existing Meduza track and uploaded to YouTube. I think they might be too far apart in sound? Either way doesn't sound like any new territory from Meduza so I am disappointed so far.
