November 10, 20205 yr Unfortunately it looks like it might end up being a tussle between Diamonds and Levitating for the last spot in the Top 10. I'd love them both to make it but Holy always ends the week strongly so could well be #9 with those two at 10 and 11. I think Levitating has the advantage being much higher on Spotify than Diamonds. I will be devastated if Dua peaks at #11
November 10, 20205 yr Who is #10 in the singles? I have to know please :cheeseblock: #PrayForLevitating I'm guessing Justin Bieber still, the positions 11-20 are all posted and climbers are usually posted so that seems to suggest he's a non-mover currently.
November 10, 20205 yr I think you've broken the record for the most number of pages on a Friday Chart Prediction topic :) I'm reliably informed this is the first to reach 31 pages in a single thread :cheeseblock: There were 3 threads for the Christmas chart in 2009 which came to 49 pages combined but, if you combine the current poll thread with this one, it would come to more than 50 :cheeseblock: :cheeseblock:
November 10, 20205 yr Dua needs to hurry up and get that top 10! Levitating deserves. (fever also deserves but the GP has no taste)
November 10, 20205 yr I think it's pretty clear now that Little Mix are gonna take the #1 unless Kylie's label pull something special out of the bag, which is a shame because I really wanted Kylie to nab that record. I guess she'll have to wait until her next album. Pop music is the real winner this week though :D
November 10, 20205 yr I'm predicting come Friday: 9. Justin Bieber 10. Dua Lipa 11. Sam Smith Dua also ends stronger at the end of the week when all streaming is factored in. Fingers crossed she has another nice increase on Spotify tomorrow! #StreamLevitating
November 10, 20205 yr I think the vinyl and cassettes Kylie released today should close the gap just enough for her to take this but it’s been close. It’s a shame that both artists had to release this week since it would have been an easy #1 for both in pretty much any other week. The opening sales will be the 4th and 5th so not "any" other week but most of the weeks.
November 10, 20205 yr The opening sales will be the 4th and 5th so not "any" other week but most of the weeks. That’s why I said “pretty much any other week”. They’re both on track for big openings, it’s pretty amazing to see.
November 10, 20205 yr Top 5 first week sales of the year as things stand: 52,907 Lady Gaga - Chromatica 51,761 Bruce Springsteen - Letter To You 50,391 The Killers - Imploding The Mirage 39.1k (so far) Kylie Minogue - DISCO 37,978 BTS - Map Of The Soul:7 I think Kylie and LM won't make it the 50k, but will be close. Next week AC/DC might grab the biggest number of the year
November 10, 20205 yr Little Mix will actually have their lowest (?) opening but still very good, as many of us expected worse. Edited November 10, 20205 yr by Sour Candy
November 10, 20205 yr I think you've broken the record for the most number of pages on a Friday Chart Prediction topic :) Lol I was just about to say the same thing. Why is it that when diva type female artists (that appeal to certain fan bases) release new music, chart interest reaches hysteria proportions?' E.g. Kylie, Dua, Gaga, Madonna, Mariah, Cher etc? The Killers, Bruce Springsteen, The Weeknd, Drake etc could sell twice as many units in a chart week but would have way less "fan" attention on this site or elsewhere. Even boybands don't get this much forensic attention. PS, I'm not knocking it..just curious as to the reason for the added hype.

Thanks hun
November 10, 20205 yr Hasn't Kylie sold 1k signed vinyls today + made available 4 different new cassettes etc? There's also the alleged 2k signed copies shipping from HMV today. Pretty sure she'll make up for Little Mix's streaming. Her team's putting in the effort.
November 10, 20205 yr Kylie not finished yet. Promo tonight, tomorrow and Thurs Still two days of sales to come after today ......
November 10, 20205 yr Kylie not finished yet. Promo tonight, tomorrow and Thurs Still two days of sales to come after today ...... Shes smashing it! What promo has she got tonight?
November 10, 20205 yr Little Mix at number 3 with Sweet Melody is amazing, can I be a dreamer and hope its a future number 1?! Also Kylies 2 still top 40, hope they don't fall too much. In terms of albums both are fab and I've been obsessed with LM this year but I do hope Kylie gets it purely for the record of a number 1 over 5 decades
November 10, 20205 yr I’m surprised LM’s album could go #1 despite their previous album stalling at #3
