November 9, 20205 yr How would streaming tip Little Mix over if their highest days of streaming are already accounted and didn’t do much? Can’t see it not going to Kylie tbh. Also I think at least in Little Mix’s fanbase no one expected the EMA’s to give it a great boost. It’s almost irrelevant nowadays and those who watch it are already pop music lovers anyway. November 9, 20205 yr I don't think Little Mix have got this, sadly, however they did manage to sell more during the last update (albeit it 200 copies) so if the momentum for them keeps up and Kylie slows down, they could easily close that gap. Kylie has definitely got this, a bit sad, but Little Mix's team didn't seem to want this as much, and Kylie's team made it very clear that they wanted it, good for her! a v good album.
November 9, 20205 yr Definitely Kylie’s... She’s actually way ahead still, Streams would probably barely be 1k.
November 9, 20205 yr Promo still to come this week - Kylie - The One Show, This Morning Little Mix - This Morning

So they are winning streaming everyday over her, regardless of amounts. Extra streaming and a price reduction could be enough for LM. Same for Kylie though a new format could win it for them too. Who knows. still 4 days to go of sales....... anything could and probably will happen.
November 9, 20205 yr Little mix aren't doing anywhere near as well on streaming as predicted unless they sold very little physicals yesterday. Kylie should have this in the bag pretty comfortably now, the extra days streaming added on Thursday will be less than 1k advantage for Little Mix so Kylie just needs to keep over 1k ahead by close of play Thursday. November 9, 20205 yr But........ There are 4 days of pure sales still to go...... BMG or RCA could literally release anything and sell that 2.5k in minutes. Lets see what they do......
November 9, 20205 yr But........ There are 4 days of pure sales still to go...... BMG or RCA could literally release anything and sell that 2.5k in minutes. Lets see what they do...... I think both have absolutely rinsed their fans and they know it, it will be tough to get another 2.5k sales out of the fan base. My guess is Kylie is making up Little Mix streaming advantage by getting more casual sales in supermarkets and on Amazon from the general public. The drops for both next week will be hide behind your hands stuff especially with them squeezing every sale they can into this week and plenty of new releases. I'm expecting both to fall out of the top 10 next week.

Little Mix are doing far better on streaming than anyone who’s been following them expected... If anyone expected Ariana’s numbers they were being delusional. This is doing far better as a whole than LM5, for instance, and that had Woman Like Me which was a streaming hit. What’s making a difference here is that Kylie’s making up for it with sales. It’s definitely hers.
November 9, 20205 yr Kylie has some HMV signed CDs that still haven’t been counted. I’ve seen them rumoured at 2000, but I find that...hard to believe given they sold out in about 15 minutes. Other than signing copies, the other tactic is a price reduction - in the Dua vs 5SOS battle earlier in the year I think they both reduced to £3.99 on iTunes.
November 9, 20205 yr If they start doing reductions I’ll be fuming!!! It’s an insult to fans that have purchased or pre-ordered. I’d rather either lose the #1 than reduce to silly prices.

The album market has changed a lot in that time, albums are becoming so front loaded now. Would anyone be shocked if both were under 10k next week. We are in lock down too.

They released the CDs in 4 different batches at different times throughout the day I’m guessing to either give fans a chance to get them or because they sold so well so BMG agreed to add more.

Kylie still has the re-press of the webstore exclusive shipping on December 4th and the Amazon Black Friday double vinyl still to come to help stabalise sales
November 9, 20205 yr I... really can't see this happening. Not when Sweet melody is actually proving to be a big hit
