I think Kylie's definitely got it now. The question now is whether she can have the biggest opening week of the year.

I am fairly neutral on Kylie vs LM but having just listened to both albums all the way through for the first time I prefer Kylie's. It has a sparkly, uplifting quality to it.

 

I know everyone is focused on LM vs Kylie, but Levitating is now #3 combined on UK iTunes. It's been steadily rising all week. Will this help it edge into the top 10?

That's still only a few hundred sales per day so not that consequential. I said earlier I thought Levitating might make the Top 10 but probably at the expense of Sam. I don't know how the gaps are looking?

What was the biggest opening week of year again? Gaga with nearly 53,000?

Funny to think Cher released Believe at the same age Kylie is now, I wish she could have another huge hit single, but the charts, music consumption and radio work so much differently now to how they did then. Plus, to be fair, Say Something and Magic are both great, but I wouldn't call them career highs like Believe was for Cher. If Kylie came back with another CGYOOMH now, it would probably just go top 30 or something :(

Little Mix actually increased their day on day sales by 600 copies yesterday compared to Monday and Tuesday. Was it because bundles etc were dispatched? Usually day on day sales go down during the week, especially physical sales.

I think they've been the most successful X Factor winners for quite a while now. They're well beyond that.
