17 Please Stay

18 Get Outta My Way

Probably a very unpopular choice at #17 here, Please Stay is comfortably inside the top 20. To this day, it remains an absolute favourite and just so great in its own special way. I always remember the performance from the Showgirl tour, but perhaps more iconic than that for me is the music video. We begin with Kylie in her 'bed' in the golden robe before making her way down a fireman's pole to a party, transforming into the red robe and having the time of her life with two smoking hot men, a pool table, all the dancers. It's just an absolute joy, and I don't even care that it's higher than my #18 song... Get Outta My Way. Held in a pretty high regard by most casual Kylie fans, or some that maybe joined the train later than some, this is definitely a great song, but it's a long way from being one of my absolute favourites by Kylie. It's a bop and has given us plenty of GIF-worthy moments (particularly the 'bitch bye' one). Part of the Aphrodite era, it was definitely the most sensible choice of single at the time, and is one of the best songs on the album. It properly goes off on tour too - one of those moments that gets the whole audience moving around and on their feet! As well as that, another iconic music video to boot with everything we love about Kylie - sass, shirtless male dancers and brilliant choreography/costumes!

So many classics already mentioned!

However I guess that just shows the power of Kylie’s catalogue :cheeseblock:

15 Can’t Get You Out of My Head

16 Say Something

Top 15, but sadly not in the top 10 songs of the countdown is Can't Get You Out of My Head, from the Fever era and undeniably one of the most iconic (if not the most) modern Kylie songs. The impact this has had on music culture, as well as how much it continued to see Kylie flourish is simply outstanding. For me though, this isn't quite up there with some others from the same era despite being a fantastic single, and some other 00s and 10s singles. Obviously the music video is iconic too, with Kylie's toilet roll lookalike costume and the translucent red visors for her dancers. This is one song that I don't mind revamped versions of on tour - it's iconic and hearing her switch it up is great. Just outside the top 15 is one of Kylie's most recent singles; the lead single from DISCO's campaign, Say Something. Introducing us to Kylie's interpretation and world of disco, Say Something hit all the right notes and has become an essential song in her discography. Again, it doesn't quite hit the same heights as some other iconic singles, but no doubt this is going to remain a favourite for years to come. I can't really remember much about the music video, I need to go back and watch it again lmao, but for sure this is one song I'm dying to hear live. A moment waiting to happen?

13 Into the Blue

14 Confide in Me

Up next is a song I feel gets an incredibly hard time simply for being attached to an album that fans don't have the kindest of hearts for. Into the Blue, the lead single from Kiss Me Once is absolutely one of Kylie's best singles - it's up there with some true classics. It just has that completely euphoric and anthem-like feel to it. It immediately gets going from the very beginning, and all leads into one of Kylie's punchiest choruses. It was a fantastic choice for lead single, because while the quality of music on Kiss Me Once is brilliant, I don't think there's any other song that could have carried the era like this did. Sadly though, I feel it's one Kylie's probably not going to return to a lot (if ever). Just behind Into the Blue is 1994 single Confide in Me from Kylie's fifth album, KM94 (otherwise known as Kylie Minogue). Initially, this wasn't a song that impressed me much but that's probably because when I first became a fan of Kylie I was 7 years old and wouldn't have appreciated ballads as much as the likes of Spinning Around, On a Night Like This, Love at First Sight, etc. But, over the years this has become an absolute essential classic that never fails to deliver any time it's performed live, or even going back to the music video or listening on Spotify, etc. It's simply beautiful, stunning and Kylie's vocals deliver, deliver and... deliver some more!

11 Dancing

12 What Do I Have to Do

Next up we have an incredible pair of singles just very narrowly missing out on the all-important top 10! The lead single from Kylie's fourteenth studio album Golden, Dancing, is closest to the top 10 songs, within touching distance at #11. For a very country-inspired album, Dancing was the perfect way to introduce us to that sound and Kylie's take on it. Still infused with the classic Kylie we all know and love, as well as sounding so fresh, this was an explosion of pure perfection and really got everybody on side for another era. Ultimately though, it's not my highest-placing single from the album, so there's something. This was a real moment on the Golden tour though, closing the show in style! Just behind Dancing at #12 is What Do I Have to Do, harking back to older Kylie days, and honestly what a SONG this is. I was first introduced to the song on, you guessed it, the Showgirl tour where it formed part of a funky downtown street set alongside Spinning Around and Shocked. Kylie's vocals on this track, mixed with stunning production, just make the whole thing go off and the chorus is one of my absolute favourites. Rhythm of Love definitely wouldn't be the same without this song, and I'm glad it's one that's been performed live plenty because it's so fun!
