35 Chi Chi Devayne 8.29

giphy-downsized.gif

Sadly, the Drag Race family was mourning the loss of Chi Chi in 2020, as the Season 8 and All Stars alumni passed away in August :( She was a star on Season 8, where she won Bitch Perfect and notably gave one of the best performances the Drag Race stage has ever seen in the unforgettable And I Am Telling You lipsync against Thorgy. Her bright, bubbly and kind personality, and her energetic performances, will always be her legacy

34 Willam 8.39

47564c600e25982635a0da69121258e4.gif

The first ever disqualified queen in Drag Race herstroy, Sh*rry is SHAKING x Willam was dramatically disqualified following the Frenemies challenge, despite winning that along with Latrice, and there have been conflicting stories about what she did to get there! I think there was a lot going on, I read that she got another opportunity that Drag Race clashed with she wanted to get disqualified and did loads of shit to get there  Either way, Willam has had a hugely successful career since the show, regardless of how her run on the show went.

33 Bianca Del Rio 8.42

tumblr_n3sya7Uu7x1rdutw3o1_400.gif

The winner of Season 6 is said by many fans to be the show's strongest winner, having never placed low in any challenge of the season, and has the second strongest stats of a regular season behind Drag Race Holland's Envy Peru. To get there, she won her premiere episode, the wedding makeover and the stand-up challenge as well as smashing Snatch Game in particular as Judge Judy, all the while with a tough exterior, no shit attitude with a heart underneath it all (I loved watching her friendship with Adore bloom). She's gone from strength to strength since the show, including becoming rhe first drag queen to sell out Wembley Arena. As of late, a rape joke about Blair St. Clair's disclosure in her elimination episode has seen her take some heat from fans which could be what sees her take a bit of a tumble, as she can usually be depended upon to challenge for the win in these things.

32 Kim Chi 8.50

tenor.gif

A runner-up of Season 8, Kim is known and loved for her make-up skills and overall aesthetic, which saw her win both the Ball and premiere design challenge in her season. She was less confident with performance and famously struggled to walk in heels, but she overcame all of that to be a firm fan fave and runner-up. She's one we always hear from fans should be on All Stars, but I can't see her ever agreeing to do it, she seems to be of the mindset she's done her turn on the show and that's it.

31 Alyssa Edwards 8.53

9eKm.gif

One of the biggest fan faves in Drag Race herstory, Alyssa provided endless memes and quotes throughout her run on Season 5 and All Stars 2, becoming one of the most popular queens. From her feud with Coco to her expressions and quotes to THAT iconic Shut Up & Drive double return lipsync with Tatiana, Alyssa isn't short of memorable moments. It's well documented how I feel about her so we'll keep it at that :kink:

Seems a bit low of Alyssa too

30 Yvie Oddly 8.57

giphy.gif

Season 11's winner Yvie has a strong showing in her second rate, beating out some fan faves and other winners. Yvie is the only winner to only win a single challenge (sharing the Good God Girl, Get Out win with Scarlet), but she had a great run on the Season and I'd argue has to be up there with the likes of Raja, Violet and Aquaria as the best runway queens the show has seen, I don't think there was a single boot-worthy outfit from her all season. She showed that wins aren't the be-all-and-end-all, she had a unique eye for looks and a point of view that set her apart, her vision made her stand out for better or worse, even when she failed (and boy did she fail in Snatch Game).

29 Valentina 8.61

3a5c3f272e50fd266a640c8606a02a53.gif

Season 9's controversial Miss Congeniality (at this point it was basically fan favourite), supposed baby queen Valentina slayed Season 9 right out the gate and won the hearts of fans. Her elimination was a huge shock, but she sealed her fate not knowing the words and uttering the immortal words "I'd like to keep it on please" as she wanted to cover up that fact by keeping the mask part of her outfit on. I am far from the biggest fan of Valentina but she was GREAT TV on AS4 or better or worse, she was so extra and dramatic. I think her "LADIES, I'm boiling, my blood is simmering through my veins!!!!" rant when she got critiqued and didn't think she should have is one of my absolute favourite Drag Race moments that just makes me HOWL every time

28 Peppermint 8.64

peppermint-marilyn.gif

In what was arguably the strongest final line-up ever (with Trinity and Shea going on to win All Stars and Sasha of course winning the season), Peppermint made it all the way to the runner-up slot in the first ever instance of the now established Lipsync For The Crown. Peppermint proved herself as a lipsync assassin during the season, notably absolutely MURDERING Cynthia Lee Fontaine to Madonna's Music following a Snatch Game bomb, but she wasn't a one-trick pony. Her challenge win came in the Roast, something she thought she would struggle with, as she effortlessly took down the panel with quick and witty jokes. She was an all round warm personality and one hell of a talent, not to mention a trans woman making the final on the show after coming out on the season was a huge moment.

27 Violet Chachki 8.71

tenor.gif

Undeniably one of the best fashion queens the show has ever seen, Violet won Season 7 and to be honest it felt like she would from the second she had THAT reveal in her fall mini-challenge look on episode 1. She started off a bit closed off, arguably kind of unlikeable, but soon came into herself on the show and deserved her win with her eye for fashion, jaw-dropping looks and stunning aesthetic, all of which have seen her achieve many prestigious things post-show such as being the first queen to walk the Met Gala and modelling for Prada, Moschino and Vogue.

26 Heidi N Closet 8.75

tenor.gif

Season 12's Miss Congeniality has a strong debut here, with her warm and infectious personality clearly winning us all over! Despite tying for most bottom 2 placements in one season (eventually being sent home by eventual winner Jaida), Heidi stayed positive and upbeat through it all, always there to bring a smile to our faces. No matter how she bombed in a challenge, you found yourself rooting for her to get back up and slay because that's just how she made you feel, it wa sso satisfying when she finally got her win in the branding challenge.

The way I was gonna get up to top 10 before I go to work and Google docs has gone down :drama:
If there's interest I can work up a table tracking the queens' placings rate on rate?

I’d for sure be interested in seeing this!

25 Sasha Velour 8.85

tenor.gif

Season 9's winner triumphed following the first ever Lipsync To The Crown, despite only having two shared wins (both with Shea Coulee), and it's summed up in two words - ROSE. PETALS. Sasha changed the reveal game for good with the rose petals tumbling from her wig during So Emotional, where front runner Shea's dreams crumbled as they fell. As much as I loved the other finalists, I was so glad to see Sasha win as I think she was overlooked at several points during the season, she was brilliantly well rounded.

24 Jimbo 8.86

giphy.gif

I know we as fans band around the word robbed like nobody's business, but you could quite confidently argue that Jimbo is THE most robbed queen ever? Jimbo only won one challenge, Snatch Game as Joan Rivers, but she placed high in multiple others and honestly many people agree that she deserved three or four wins, I will take to my GRAVE that she deserved the premiere, Star Sixty-Nine and the pageant at LEAST alongside Snatch Game, and you could argue the makeover too. Jimbo's run was shrouded in controversy, as the judges' (mostly Jeffrey's) treatment of her was a large part of the backlash the show saw and one of the big problems that marred the otherwise good season. Jimbo did deserve her elimination when it came, but 4th place was nothing to sniff at.

23 Adore Delano 8.88

tenor.gif

Season 6 runner-up Adore had a journey on her season, having some lows in the competition, starting off badly and lipsyncing twice in the latter half, but she nonetheless nabbed wins in the rap battle, Glamazon By Colorevolution and Glitter Ball challenges, with her personality shining through. She didn't have as much polish as others always, but she had IT, that spark cut through everything. The less said about her wet fart of a run on AS2 the better, I'd like to see her try again but idk if she ever will.

22 Naomi Smalls 8.89

tenor.gif

legs legs legs xxx wow thrilling

I may be a teeeeeeeny bit biased with my grudge for her cutting Manila's AS4 run short :kink: Naomi was a finalist on Season 8, winning the makeover and shining with model good looks, and All Stars 4 showed she was far from a one trick pony as she smashed Snatch Game and Jersey Justice alongside the premiere talent show, as well as winning the makeover again (the only contestant to do so twice, fact fans). It was here that she divided fans by eliminating front-runner Manila, over Latrice. She was just playing the game and eliminating strong competition I suppose, but I have probably never been so mad at All Stars as I was then

21 Lemon 8.96

9d02dc4f654c5511ee1008ada3c6f4c5.6.-Lemon-This-is-legit-the-best-day-EVER.gif

Just missing the top 20 is Drag Race Canada's fan-fave fifth placer Lemon, who leaves Priyanka as the only DRC queen standing! Initially, Lemon looked like she might be a mean bitchy twink character, and she was left in the bottom 2 on episode 1 after her Sailor Moon esque outfit failed to impress the judges. But she grew and grew, winning both the next episode (Her-itage Moments) and the pageant before falling to Rita following the makeover. Lemon ended the season in the hearts of fans, as one of the biggest and best personalities of the season.

Bianca way too low. Should be top 10 easily.

She was never a fave for me but ofc something like that just tipped me even further, I don't dislike her just because of that  I get it's playing the game but one of my all time faves crashing out so unfairly, it was a shame and I just feel like surely you'd want to beat the best rather than potentially winning because you sent home competition.
Lool Naomi eliminating Manila made me a fan

Same haha!!! Naomi is for sure my favourite queen of all time and just excels in so many different aspects flawlessly whilst having this dry, shady personality

Whether you dislike that decision naomi made or not you cannot deny it was amazing tv *.

Jimbo truly deserved more.

20 Raja 8.96 (one 11)

tumblr_mmywlsTFPm1qbngkko1_500.gif

Known post-show as the host of Fashion Photo Ruview alongside her bestie Raven, Raja's immense runway prowess and eye for fashion saw her take the crown in Season 3. She won the very first design challenge and instantly stood out as a contender, also winning the cake inspired design challenge and RuPaulAPalooza's performance challenge, showing she wasn't a one-trick looks pony. Raja is THE blueprint for me, she truly set the bar for great runways on Season 3 and she's just so effortless in both the looks she serves and her personality/sense of humour.

19 Tatianna 9.00 (no 11s)

giphy.gif

Tatianna copped some flack (mostly from Raven tbf) for her perceived lack of experience and polish, but she proved everyone wrong when she won the first iteration of the now iconic Snatch Game with a note perfect Britney Spears. At the time she was announed for AS2, Tati seemed a bit of a random pick but she proved everyone wrong in episode 1 when she smashed the talent show and won with her Same Parts spoken word performance. Despite being quickly cut in episode 2's Snatch Game for a bad Ariana Grande, Tati came back alongside Alyssa following their flawless Shut Up & Drive lipsync. Tati just has IT, a spark and likeability that you have to love.

18 Raven 9.00 (two 11s)

VRzf.gif

Weird that these two tie after their storyline on S2  Raven started off shaky by lipsyncing in episodes 2 and 3, but from episode 5 onwards, she placed either high or won, nabbing wins in the makeover and autobiography branding challenge. She was controversial on her season due to her treatment of Tatiana in particular, being the bitch of the season, but her talent shone through and she was always great TV, many fans thought she should have won over Tyra (even without Tyra's post season shite). She repeated her runner-up position again on All Stars 1, where she competed with Jujubee and lost to Chad. Fans argue she should have won that too, and whilst I agree with S2, I don't think being bottom 2 most of the season equates to being "robbed" in AS1's case (even if the judging was a bit dodgy and favouring Chad)

17 Detox 9.10

tenor.gif

Detox was part of Rolaskatox, the ruling clique of Season 5, but she fell at the last hurdle and thus didn't make the final alongside Roxxxy and Alaska, being pipped to the post by eventual winner Jinkx. Detox is known for her looks, especially THAT black and white look at the Season 5 reunion which was *incredible* She's got a certain eye for looks that always stands out, unique without being too out there or weird, and you usually remember her for it. She made up for her near-miss by making the final in AS2, following stand-out wins in Herstory Of The World (as Marie Antoinette), Revenge Of The Queens (alongside Tatianna) and the makeover, cementing her legacy.

16 Priyanka 9.15

99b43eb4efb72c34812a3fafe5ad6f34e8771131.gif

To date our most recent English-language winner, Drag Race Canada's Priyanka reigns supreme over her season sisters here! Priyanka won Not Sorry Aboot It and the makeover, although she found herself in the bottom 2 for a disastrous Snatch Game and a middling pageant performance, although the former gave her what has to be EASILY in my top 5 lipsyncs of all time when her and Kiara slayed Celine Dion's I Drove All Night. No matter what she was doing, Priyanka's goofy and lovable personality shone through, she demanded your attention and I think that aspect of personality is as important as, if not more important than, track record. It's weird because I thought both of her challenge wins were stretches but I still was happy with her winning the season as she was my fave after Lemon and Jimbo

If there's interest I can work up a table tracking the queens' placings rate on rate?

That would be good :)

That's how i'd do it - last years position and maybe even a ranking history to see how they've performed each time this is done - although it is a lot of work (as done it for other things on other forums)

On another note

Lemon, Detox, Raven and Sasha are too low!!!!

That would be good :)

I'll post the table at the end of the countdown ;) - as I'd rather not be spoiled of the results higher up myself!

Peek behind the curtain: some of the results in earlier rates were WILD including:

April Carrion placing above Trixie

Cynthia Lee Fontaine placing above Tatianna

Joslyn Fox getting exactly the same ranking 3 years in a row despite the number of queens changing each rate

Chad Michaels, Thorgy and Pearl placing above DeLa

Kimora Blac placing above The Vixen, Acid Betty & Darienne Lake
