November 13, 20204 yr It's a pleasant enough, but ultimately predictably formulaic, retread of a song that has been covered way too many times (is it the only post-90s Oasis single that people actually know well enough to cover? I guess The Importance of Being Idle wouldn't really work though!). There's a few that would work. Let There Be Love, Little By Little. Craig David's 'All We Needed' was robbed. :( YES! Best CIN single by freakin' miles.
November 13, 20204 yr There's a few that would work. Let There Be Love, Little By Little. 'Let There Be Love' would work well but 'Little By Little'? "Little by little, the wheels of your life have slowly fallen off" - I'm not sure that's a very positive, uplifting message that's needed for a charity single!
November 13, 20204 yr Well I was alluding to the sound & feel of the song more but fair point :P guess they'd have to alter a few words around then!

"Cause all of the stars are fading away Just try not to worry, you'll see them someday Take what you need, and be on your way And stop crying your heart out" I've never thought this was SUPER positive, to be fair...
November 13, 20204 yr The original always reminds me of The Butterfly Effect. Ashton Kutcher looked hot as hell with the beard and shaggy hair.
November 13, 20204 yr Don't understand how they get such a big name like Cher to appear, only for her to barely sing, yet Rebecca Ferguson is there every other line?
November 13, 20204 yr ^One of the producers of the song is Mark Taylor who is Cher's main producer. I would have liked her to sing more as well. Rebecca Ferguson did sing quite a bit for someone who's not that well known.
November 13, 20204 yr if this goes to #1, will it be credited to all artists involved?!!! sorry if it was already asked/answered.
November 13, 20204 yr No it should be BBC Radio 2 All-stars. It's just iTunes who have credited the artists individually Edited November 13, 20204 yr by ManicKangaroo
November 13, 20204 yr People mentioning Rebecca Ferguson singing half of this... I'm sure I'm hearing James Morriston as much as her (they both feel very dominant) 🙈 They both have quite unique voices though, so I don't blame them!
November 13, 20204 yr I wish one of these various artists charity singles would be a genuinely uplifting song. Gabrielle's Sunshine would be amazing and just what people need to hear right now. The video could be all clips of amazing acts of kindness people have done during the pandemic.
November 13, 20204 yr Jesus this is hideous to the highest degree :o Hope Billie Eilish somehow manages to be #1 this week. Edited November 13, 20204 yr by Sour Candy
November 13, 20204 yr Considering the artists involved think it's a poor cover , the times like these live lounge allstars cover was loads better
November 13, 20204 yr I actually like this a lot more than I thought I would have tbh! I don’t mind Rebecca featuring heavily because I love her voice
November 13, 20204 yr much nicer with the video, I didn't even realise Cher was singing the opening line and actually Bryan and Mel sing after each other which is a nice touch
