I was fully sure kylie would be trailing little mix, ariana etc at this point of the release, I was always very hopeful of number 1 but its run and sales are so much better than I expected, disco will make gold before little mix, ariana and Sam smith.

Of all the above, I'm shocked at how poorly Ariana is doing despite everything going for her - press, radio support, streaming, etc. Ironic - LM would've gotten to #1 had they released with Ariana and Sam instead of releasing with Kylie.

Well......

It's Thursday

Nearly Friday in NZ and Australia and no news of a Real Groove Edit or remix or EP yet.......

I thought definitely something would come out this Friday. Let's see

The album is what Kylie fans and market want.

Golden was a break from the Dance pop and although successful Kylie is known for this joyous music and she is zoned in with it all... From her fashion, her music, her team, her promo etc.

Lazy releases suffer. Kylie and her team have had a plan and stuck too it, got everything right and laid down solid foundations to success. She will go Gold next week and will probably do 125-130k this year alone now

Today’s mids being reported as 9,444 (!!) and still #6

Another 1,759! Should do over 11k and therefore over 90k in total!

Yeah! :D OMG  I'm so happy <3

Looks as though the standard CD price reduction/ offers are helping. Weird how she's sitting at 6 but on second week she was at 5 with 15k.Regardless good to see Disco gaining ground as the week progresses.

Be interesting to see the sales breakdown for the week.

Really hope for a much bigger uplift next week because of the promo and deluxe CD.

I'd be over the moon if Kylie managed to remain Top 10 throughout December. She's only managed it with her first two albums and 'Ultimate Kylie'.

Such an epic week! So pleased not only is it going to stay Top 10 but is going to do so with ease!

Amazon have increased the price of the standard CD to £10.99 but I’m guessing that’s to make their ‘3 For £20’ offer seem more of a deal.

The standard black vinyl has been selling well at HMV online and lots of people went to HMV yesterday and said they had signed copies which has helped :cheer:

Beyond happy with how Disco has performed and we still have prime time TV to come :cheer:

CD:5,955

Digital: 288

Streaming: 641

LP: 2,526

:D

^^ Great figures - her vinyl has been HUGE this era.

Surprised it’s still managing to shift nearly 300 downloads despite low sales on iTunes and 600+ streaming sales is a welcome bonus.

Downloads not just itunes, although the majority will be.

I guess most of big albums released in Nov and now it's a battle of promo, prices and quality for December xmas sales

If it keeps going like this, the album will easily sell 120K by year end.

What's important is what happens after the New Year holiday...

There's plenty of promo opportunities early 2021 she will so fine and take out all those Xmas albums and Xmas selling albums and she can stay doing ok

What's important now is sell sell sell in next 3 weeks, earn the money for more singles and videos and remixes etc

Hopefully there is lots planned for next year but it feels that potentially ending the year with a 120-130k selling album that anything else will just be a bonus.
